Why you like pitbulls and what you think about their abuse:[Uh-oh, now you got me started on a long lecture!]I love ALL animals, and I think Pit Bulls have an image that is totally stereotypical. The first thing that comes to mind when most people see or think about a Pit Bull is "Evil! Mean! Monstrous! It's gonna eat me! Have to euthanize it!" and I think that is totally wrong. My family rescued a Pit Bull mix late last year that we named Stripes. We found him tied to a fence post with a chain collar on him so tight it DUG INTO HIS NECK. Someone had dumped him, a sweet little puppy. He's only just over year now! Yes, some dogs have to bew euthanized. But I hate euthanization and think it should ONLY be done when animals are sick or severely injured and are put down to be kept out of pain. Some Pit Bulls are very aggressive, but this is because of their vicious owners that have beaten and abused them into fighting for everything they do and get. It is really sad that people cna treat human's best friend like this. Aggressive, cruel owner's lead to aggressive dogs, and that can lead to injured people and other animals. This in turn leads to a bad image of all Pit Bulls. How much you wanna bet that Pit Bulls are over 2X less likely than other dogs to get adopted from shelters? And even if some Pits ARE very aggressive, they CAN be helped! They are NOT hopeless! But it takes love, kindness, and care to undo the wrongdoings of abusers. It is not the dogs' fault. They cannot control what their owners do. And after a while, wouldn't you only be able to take so much abuse and neglect before you had bad feelings and pretty well hated life? Your whole life, and thoughts and actions would be clouded by a red cloud of HATRED. And you know why some Pits are abused? Because of dog fights. They are bigger, and when mistreated fight harshly. It is extremely file and disgusting to treat anyhting like this. I saw on the news several months ago a report about a PURELY Pit Bull rescue center. It was one man, who had many a bite scar, that was sitting with about five Pits he had worked with ALL BY HIMSELF and they were sitly calmly next to him, chasing after toys, and overall being a HAPPY, FRIENDLY dog. I thought it was amzing what he was doing, because all the dogs had been abused and neglected, he had rescued them, and he was trying to expand and rescue more. The dogs currently lived with him, in his house, but he wanted to rescue some more and if calm enough, he wanted to try to find loving, permanent homes for the dogs. Again, these were all abused, neglected, PIT BULLS. Pit Bulls can be helped, and they WANT and NEED to be helped, but they can't do it alone.
How much you love pitbulls: (1-10 (1-I hate them, 10-Love them to Death and beyond))10
SIDE NOTE: Please know this about me- I have a fiery attitude and temper, I am 100% behind what I believe in, and you will never change that about me. And now, to wrap up my LONG lecture; IF YOU ABUSE, NEGLECT, MISTREAT, OR FIGHT A PIT BULL OR ANYTHING ELSE, YOU ARE JUST ABOUT DIRT TO ME.
Sorry, once I get going, I can't stop..... But I don't regret saying any of it, because it's true.
So.... Can I join? I PROMISE I'm nice.....

Guys that's not much, but accepted.well, i never owned a pit-bull so i don't really know all that much about them accept for what i have read, i have met a couple pit-bulls in real life, they where really nice. I'm sure if i got the chance to really fall in love with one the 8.5 would go right uo to a 10. the all problem is that my parents tend to lean towards the side that says pittys are bad family dogs (what a lie!) anyway when i move out i want a rescue 1 or 2 ^^
