Another week, another two episodes of Inuyasha. I'm half-awake, but I'm going to do my best to watch through them anyway. Man, I miss the days it aired at 1am. The two episodes that are airing are about Ryukotsusei, and the discovery of the backlash wave. It always strikes me as slightly odd that he doesn't find out about it until so late in the series. (Well, episode 54 seems a little late to me at least.) Of course, it took him a good while to learn about the wind scar too. I think it was episode 34 or 35 before he learned about it.
Totosai always makes me chuckle. He's such a crazy old man, and I rather like his character even though he doesn't show up often. His English voice actor did a good job with him, of course, everyone is very well cast.
For being such a strong demon - the one that in essence fatally injured Inu no Taisho - the series spends an incredibly small amount of time talking about this demon. Of course, they couldn't dwell on it long since the main conflict is with Inuyasha, but Inuyasha's father also had the power of the Tetsusaiga, so he could've used the backlash wave as well, and he really was a lot more. I don't know, I just feel like it should've been a little harder of Inuyasha to defeat him.
Oh, and another thing while I happen to be thinking about it, has anyone noticed that Inuyasha only transformed
after he got the Tetsusaiga. Why hadn't he ever transfromed
before he got it? Was his life just never in enough danger?
I'm being really nitpicky today... It's probably because I'm so tired, but I've watched Inuyasha so many times that I've started to notice and think about the little things.
