Agreed. ^_^ I find that my eyes aren't used to the brightness settings of the DS Lite. I have a DS Lite that a friend gave me as a gift because her brother didn't want it anymore (I use it mainly to trade Pokemon from one of my games to another).
The lack of GBA slot in the DSi definitely makes me a little sad. D: I would've liked the original DS to be able to play games for the older gameboys (*sobs* I miss Pokemon Silver), but at least it did have a slot for the GBA.
I concur. The DS Lite screen is either too bright, or you can't see anything at all.
And I also trade Pokemon from one game to another, using my brother's (Sadly, his DS broke so he got a Lite and then it broke because he took it apart and couldn't put it back together but the guy from the local gameshop couldn't either so he bought him a wretched DSi) DSi and it's really awesome, because I have a team that I use all of the time and I just transfer them from game to game.
Though what's wierd about the DSi is that you can go online on it. 0.o That creeped me pout when I went on Mweor from my bro's DSi. I have to admit, it was pretty cool, but that makes me love the original DS even more. ^^
And I would've loved to play Pokemon Crystal on my DS, it's my favorite because the graphics are really funny sometimes and it took me two and a half months to complete the storyline.
I used to use my sister's DS to trade Pokemon, but since I got the DS Lite I haven't had to (borrowing her DS can be annoying because she tends to want to play with it when I want to use it xD).
The DSi wierds me out a little bit too in that sense. xD I thought it was interesting at first, but when I tried it out, I found that the connection was a bit slower than my iPod. Besides, if I really wanted to browse the internet with a DS, I could just get a memory extension and buy the
Opera DS internet browser myself. It was discontinued in America for the original DS, but I'm pretty sure you can get it on eBay or something. xD
Silver took me ages to complete also; that's what I liked about the older Pokemon games: they gave me a challenge. I tend to complete most games in a week or so (give or take some time). I love it when a game takes a while to complete; then I won't get bored with it. In my DS games, I avoid bringing my team from my other games over until I've beaten the Elite Four, so I can have a bit more of a challenge beating them. ^_^
