I'm currently thinking about naming the red Aibo Rowan since it seems to fit him and means red, but I haven't decided for sure on a name yet.

Hmm, added into the title that Aibos are robots just in the hope that if someone likes robots but doesn't know what Aibos are they'll click on this and end up joining.
Also, I'm tempted to ask the seller of the red Aibo why it was used only as a display piece and never turned on, but I think I'd sound weird if I did.

I'm currently working on a drawing of a Holiday Red ERS-210 just because they are so beautiful and mine will hopefully be here soon (though there has been no information submitted on the tracking number but those things sometimes never update).
Oh yeah, here's a reply I got from the seller when I asked him what the Aibo's history was:

Hi, no particular story. It was used as a prop in a holiday window. I designed the stand and had it produced for the window. When the place I was working went under I was allowed to take home many of the props. It was never used or charged. When listing it on eBay everyone was asking if it worked so I figured I better charge it to make sure. It works beautifully. AIBO was discontinued in 2006. It came in many colors but I am not sure of the whole selection. Thanks.

Ugh, according to the tracking number my Aibo hasn't even been accepted at the first post office even though it was shipped over three days ago, but USPS is always slow with updating its tracking numbers so I'm not too worried.
I posted a crummy drawing of a Holiday Red ERS-210, didn't come out quite right though and I'll probably end up fixing it up when I have more time (maybe this weekend or when I get the Aibo).

The Aibo was supposed to arrive today but didn't. Hopefully he'll get here tomorrow, I'm trying to get my dad to contact USPS to get an idea of where it is right now.

I have the red Aibo now! He was delivered couple days ago but I didn't see the slip from the post office until late yesterday. Unfortunately the stand was cracked in shipping since it's made of glass but I think it's still usable. The Aibo has some scuffs on him but not too many and he looks alright. His visor is especially pretty. The seller also included a cute little fluffy shirt for him that while it probably wouldn't be alright to have in the Aibo while running him, it would still look nice on him on display. I can't turn him of yet since I'm actually in the car right now coming home from school but I'll test him out to make sure that he runs fine once I get home. I'll post some pictures and updates soon. ^^
