I think that the Pegasi flight acedemy/school for gifted unicorns should should be for kindergarteners all the way to college student aged ponies because in the flashbacks Dashie/Twilight are shown as small fillies,so the schools probably have younger grades.

I imagine the Pegasi Flight Academy would be for learning how to fly or perfecting flying, while Junior Speedsters would be for pegasi wanting to enter races and learning how to perform stunts in the air.
