Do you have a fursona/persona? Why or why not? If so, is he/she your favorite character? Does your fursona/persona more reflect you or who you want to be?

I do have a fursona, Elias. He started off as a doodle that gradually turned into a character I loved. I used to have a cow anthro as a fursona but there was no click between who I was and the design or personality of the character. I guess Elias could be a best friend of mine that I never had while still being somewhat like me. He is definitely my favorite character (I spoil him more than the others). He somewhat reflects currently who I am but I don't think he'll change if my personality drastically changes. His design may change, like if I find an even cooler beanie, but his personality won't. I use him, like most people, to represent me online, without having to show my face but still showing who I am if that makes any sense.

I have half a sona. I'm still designing her, but you can see her frontal half in this color in:


She will likely take the spot of favorite character, yes. As for the reflecting part, it's half and half. She reflects me in personality and interest, but not in looks. For example, I do not have a nose ring, colored, short hair, or a tattoo (on her leg, you can't see it). Those are things I plan to get one day, though, so she still reflects me in that way.

I have five sonas who basically have the same personality let's face it
tbh I first made my first two sonas, Lynt and Kidd, [the fabbest of the fab] to join GWMS and I totally don't regret it!
although I've developed them more since then
honestly though I'm not sure why I have sonas; I see myself as a human [all of them have feral and humanoid forms, although two of them don't have anthro like the other three]
They are my absolute bbies and I count them higher than characters <3
they are pretty much me, personality wise
they look nothing like me, haha
actually, for me, my sonas help me sleep at night as I dream about them [since I actually don't paticularly like to dream about myself] as well as my characters cx Lynt and Kidd probably did start my love for characters and designing hehehee

Yes, I do. So does my boyfriend, though he isn't active on chickensmoothie... Hes more of a minecraft kinda guy xD You can see my fursona in my Characters Thread, linked in my signature, along with a lengthy description of her/me.

Question 2: Why or why not?

I have a fursona, because I like coloring in pictures of 'myself' with 'others', if this makes sense. For example, I see a picture with two wolves cuddling, I color them in as 'me' (my fursona) and 'my boyfriend' (his fursona). I also can't draw people worth crap, so... Animals are better xD

Question 3: If so, is he/she your favorite character?

It all really depends on what you mean by that. My favorite to draw? Favorite to roleplay with? Favorite to order art for? Favorite to write about? My favorite to draw, probably. I do draw her a lot with others... Favorite to roleplay with is Kaida. Favorite to order art for... Wel I don't order art that often, but I did just order some of Magma, if that counts. Favorite to write about is Chester and Cleo, probably. Write stories to get them <3

Question 4: Does your fursona/persona more reflect you or who you want to be?

Both, really. Her flaws are mostly me. Weaknesses, issues, phobias, etc. but most of her positive traits are also mine. Then again, I'm not a tornado-creating vampire/werewolf hybrid, haha xD But mostly, she does represent me.

Currently, I would say that no, I do not have an official fursona. Dolly/Gwen Trix is the closest thing to what would be a frusona, and her past forms have been fursonas to me. I like to think that her personality is what I want to strive to be like. She's beloved, cherished, and reflects who I'd rather be in both design and personality.
maybe when I'm more confident in who I am, I'll change her and make her an actual fursona~

Alright. ^^ Just since I'm in the mood to ask questions, I have another question for you guys.

[b]Do you write stories for your characters or just draw/order art of them?[/b]

To answer this myself, I most certainly write for my characters. I find their stories more important than their art and writing for them is really a bonding experience for me. It gives them much more meaning to me which is why I always have trouble selling any characters that I've written a story for. I have trouble writing set personalities or condensed histories for them, but I love just working on their stories. I believe it's difficult to write personalities for them since I don't think it's really possible to completely correctly describe someone's personality (including characters) since they're not always going to act under those restrictions (or if they did, that would make for some fairly dull stories). My longest story is around 51,000 words (my only finished one), but I have a bunch of others in the 10,000-30,000 range. Surprisingly, the story for my favorite character is only around 3,300 words so far when I've owned him for around four months (although I did partially fill out a character questionare for him which is currently around 3,600 words and I'm also working on a comic for him). Most of my characters all have stories that I'm constantly daydreaming about and adding onto which is part of what makes them special to me. It's really great for character developement as well to place the characters in conversations with each other and write how they would react in many different situations.


Also, on another note, I drew a little sketch of Tom and Maemi (pfft, Tom's so easily scared and Maemi loves to take advantage of that fact). I really need to draw Maemi more, this is her only real piece of art and it's just a quick concept sketch for a scene that probably won't even be in their story.
