lol ok :P i remeber this little cheat me and my brother had this cheat on a old game we would send a pokemon over, one that my brother wanted and one we didnt mind loseing, then the one who got the one they didnt want loseing would turn the game off, that user would lose that pokemon but they would get the pokemon they sent back. hehe we where so cheeky when we where younger.

It is a 1/1365 chance (as of Gen V). So...not a set number, just a probability, which is still roughly 6x the normal shiny encounter rate.

I squealed very loudly and hugged my 3DS, before proceeding to catch a Pikachu as the first Pokemon I'd caught in Y.
