Alright, I figured that I should make a post about this since this has been bothering me for a bit. I don't have a fursona or a persona. I don't see the need for a fursona since I don't see myself as anything other than human, and am completely clueless as how I would or why I would want to make an animal representation of myself. I am not sure how I would go about making a persona either, because that would probably be just me or at least something fairly similar to me. I don't see myself as a character at all, so I can't really understand why I would make a character representation of myself or how I would count that as a character of mine. If I did make a character representing myself, I would have very little connection to it, so I really don't want to do that. I guess that I would feel that it would just be me, and therefore not a character. However, I do have a main character that I absolutely love. Tom is my favorite character by far, but he doesn't come close to representing me in the slightest and even has a very different personality than I do. Of course, if I needed to represent myself in a drawing online, I would probably use Tom but that's just because I love him so much and don't have a fursona/persona. I build strong connections to characters through drawing and especially through writing, so that I really come to care for them a lot even if they have nearly nothing in common with me. So, I thought I'd ask a question.

As you said I above, I myself don't see myself as anything but human, but I do have a fusona. I have her because I fell she represents more of who I want to be without letting people know who I really am. She represents me a lot, but she is more of the dog/best friend I wish I had. I don't know if that makes any sense.. But ya.

I do have a fursona. The fursona is to represent myself online mostly. It's a way for me to show myself without showing a real picture of me (which I hate pics) and she is a way to demonstrate feelings and ideas though. Like one day I want to get alot of drawings of her doing things that were life accomplishments for me as a sort of badge. such as one of her skydiving, one of her hiking yellowstone, one involving fire and so on. Now for the last part, does my fursona reflect me or what I want to be. My fursona is me but I am not her. There is more to me then what there is to my fursona, such as the fact I'm not a fluffy fox. But my fursona has a mirror of the same background life as me, same experiences and so on. I'm not sure I know what I want to be but I try to be the best I can be and so does she, so I would say she reflects me.

I have an fursona,i cant really explain why..
Just one day i was designing characters and i fell
in love with her.

She is one of my favorite characters and reflects me.
(except for the part that she's a shiba inu.)

As long as a sona has the same personality and likes the same stuff as me,
then i consider it a sona.

My beliefs are an sona should reflect you,not who you want to be.
Because if it dosent reflect you,its not really a 'sona' then.Its just
more of who you wish you were. c:

I do indeed, Mero Sakurose. :3 She's both my fursona and persona, since she's a bakeneko. :3 I have a fursona not because I see myself as an animal, but because I have a deep admiration for Japanese myths. Also, I find animals really adorable, and as a Lolita my aim in life is to be as kawaii as possible~ Mero represent me in that she has exactly the same personality as me, just dramatised. Her design is really symbolic for different parts of my life, but her main purpose is the front that you lot and other people online see, since I don't want/am not allowed to use photos. ^^ So she's kind of my Internet personality.
