Personally, what really got me into it was the pet designs and species combined, so I was checking back to see the growths. That, and I love reading/writing so I find that the lore combined with the art tends to give me a lot of great character ideas that I can then play around with. I also joined before the Yuletide event, and that had a huge part in getting me online a lot. Somewhere during all of that I got really into the forums/community. ^^'
If you want to get into the forums, a lot of users recommend starting in the Forum Games area as that tends to be very active.
Something worth considering is what keeps you coming back to CS, or another site you're active on, and can that/those thing(s) be applied to Eld. :)
