I realize I'm horribly terrible at names >< I mean, Rose and Jace are the most common I use... Not very original. .-.

yeah, look on the previous page

know what I hate? when its a semi-llit role-play, and just because the owner doesn't enforce it extrememly strictly, people start posting less and less. Noooo ;-;

Okay, so this a weird thing to ask in this thread, but would anyone be interested in a low-literacy level RP? Where your posts have to be under a certain length, so you have to work at being concise and poetic in a simple way. I'm curious to see if we could do a RP with the creativity, realism and characterization that literate RPs have, without the loooong posts.

Anyway, just a weird idea. PM me if you're interested. :3

Form:
Username: Harlequin Raven
Favorite type of RP: Fantasy genre, especially one-on-one roleplays

Roleplay sample: Some of my typical examples are in my one-on-one ad (they all come from my private one-on-one roleplays). You can view that here: Click me!

Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have: The majority of my RPs have been done via PMs and email, so I do not have a lot of examples.

As with any roleplayer, I can only work with what I am given. My latest CS RP posts (Survival of the Strangest) are NOT a good example of my typical work. If you look at the replies that mine are based off of, you can easily see that most of what I was given are one to two lines. I still play in it because the concept is fun, and once in a while it is nice to not have to commit too much to a roleplay (i.e. I can reply via my phone between taking notes in class *CoughCough*).

I have one example of a reply in Pinebrooke, Home of the Strange, but that is one in which the owner seems to have lost interest (leaving my character just sitting alone in a forest), so I never got beyond two replies. This is exactly why I am looking for RPs in which I can actually write to the level I am capable of, instead of being forced to drop down to a few lines because nothing is made available for me to reply to. If my new one-on-one partner replies to my intro soon enough, there may be a reply in my recent posts from that.

Woah wait the thread suddenly exploded while I was gone cndsjkb.

Ok I only skimmed the previous posts so forgive me if I missed something while adding to a dead conversation but... concerning pretty characters. Not gonna say anything on how nobody is perfect, because that's already been covered.

I just... I guess I have a skewed perception of what's pretty-looking. My characters are usually never those doe-eyed babes with perfect bodies. Especially in the face. I guess I just like the sound of droopy, slanted or hooded eyes, thick eyebrows, hooked/pointy noses, e.t.c...

I like to think that the character I'm making is pretty, at least, by my standards. Or, well, if not pretty, then at least not a pain to look at. Other people/characters might find them ugly, but I don't. If I met somebody with droopy eyes in real life, though, I probably wouldn't find them all that attractive... concerning fictional characters, my idea of what's pretty is pretty weird.

I hate seeing all these perfect charries out there. It annoy me to no end. The worst thing? When you create an out-of-the-norm character which is original and everyone decides to ignore them. For example, I had this really obnoxious know-it-all male that had the power of Knowledge which was really fun to roleplay because he abused coffee and caffeine to alternately slow or speed up his brain 'speed' and everyone thought he was a wack - which he was - and decided he was the one to pass out on since he was not perfect in character.

I was really annoyed. Oh well, I'll have to re-use him at some point.

-Ironically?- I love the sound of that character. xD

The perfect characters just drive me insane. There's so, so many of them. ._. Thus, I set up a scenario where the character couldn't be normal no matter how hard their RPer may try for my latest RP. ^^
Though I am sure someone will try.
