Re: The Semi-Literate+ Roleplayer's Club

For character's heights and weights, I tend to look up a height- weight chart. I have one in particular that I love and reference often, that has the height, then different body types and ranges that would be considered "healthy". I really hate to be inaccurate with that kind of thing.

I tend to get a little annoyed also, when the character's heights/weights don't match up.... And I must admit that it is sort of annoying that every single character I've ever seen is exceptionally beautiful. Mostly because in real life, this is so far from reality - not everyone is beautiful. I mean, I understand the attraction there is to write about a pretty person, because writing is everyone's escape from their own reality - I find myself many times living in my characters' eyes, so it's natural to want them to be beautiful and perfect - perhaps everything your real life self is not. But I am usually very careful when it comes to this. It's too easy to fall into the trap of making your character too perfect. Usually my characters are not all drop-dead gorgeous, or incredibly attractive. I always try to make sure that my characters have some flaws, to make them seem more realistic.

But I will agree with Artesian also. xP Everyone is allowed to their own character, and to make them however they want. And although I am annoyed whenever I see characters like this, I never actually say anything
(probably because I'm so awkward XD...) But I always get annoyed when characters are too perfect/too beautiful... I just keep it to myself mostly, so as to not cause any arguments.

0.0 Cheerio. No need to be aggressive ... We were all like that once upon a time. Just because we're literate doesn't mean we haven't done it in the past. It just means we've moved on ...

Lol. Don't ask for my shop! I closed until I can finish the two orders ... Yeaaah ... Dun ask. -_-

I personally like the fierce girl [kind of like me :p] who knows how to fight for her independence and keep the peace at te same time. Now. Donovan an Elias on the other hand ... My favorite is Donovan. I should show him to you all sometime.

I always look up stuff like that. I've already been but picked at for my girl "being too skiny".

      >> my fave charries out of all the charries I've made [for rping] are probably alisha [you guys don't know her, but she's a BAMF] and probably cristiano. cristiano's a good dude. he's kind of like the "good guy" character but he lets people walk all over him sometimes. I haven't rp'd him much, but ...

How do you pronounce Alisha? Just curious, don't mind me. B)

And a spot has opened up in my role play A Second Chance at Life. He is a homosexual male, so if anyone is interested check it out. We need it filled before we can start. =)

Gawsh sorry if I offened anyone .-.
It just annoys me a lot, nowadays. To that point.
Imma sorry. :c But like, I'm not trying to diss anyone.
I just wanted to make a point. Perfect characters push my buttons far too much.

Noticed a brief conversation on the previous page about 'perfect' character, wanted to give two cents.

Someone people are all witty and tanned and have pretty legs and blah blah blah, but not 50% of people. If it wasn't so terribly overused, it wouldn't be so bad. But seriously, who wants to RP with miss perfect? Make your character interesting, not the model of a 'great pretty person'. In my mind, the cookie-cutter pretty blond girl with the great fashion sense and pretty self and sad back-story and perfect tan and a heart that needs a great guy to open up is the last resort of people without the skill or creativity to produce something worth reading that hasn't been seen 500+ times, let along RPing with.
Also, please people. We don't need another Celestia Micky Braveheart. Please.

Glitter: All-'e'(long e, pronounced like the letter), and sha, as in shaman.
At least that's now I read it.
And I'll take that spot if it's still open Saturday, but this is my last free time until then. xD
