Have you talked to them to see why it doesn't have a background?
Honestly, if it was me, I'd probably just keep it and never ever order their art again. However I'm just so disgustingly non-confrontational like that.
If I were not me:
I'd send them a message explaining that although it was cheap it wasn't what you thought you were getting and ask that they either edit/redo the artwork to meet their original claim or refund you. I do think this is a fair idea. It's all on the wording though.

i need to note them maybe theyll redo it .-. i honestly love their art, but the choice to experiment on a style they didnt know how it would turn out on a paid commision probally wasnt the best one. (Expecially after changing the character)

I'd name her Lillian. That's just me. Don't ask where it came from because that's just the first name that came to mind.

...this is a weirdly specific question, but actually yes. <_< Goennecs aren't supposed to be very human-like with their relationships and aren't supposed to have 'mates' but I tend to ship them anyway. Oops. I've made a whole nano project about my goennecs.
I mostly ship Druvian and Lance, Calixte and Xion, and Naima and Saiga. All art/designs/species by June Bug.

Tule isn't very active with hunting but he has a hunting family and knows how. Well, he doesn't actually do the hunting, technically, he does the retrieving, but still, dog used by a hunter while hunting. I also have a WIP german shorthaired pointer anthro, and she'll be more of a hunter. I have miscellaneous characters who do/would hunt small game for food, but I'm not really sure if you would call them 'hunters'? If you do, I have several.

No. Even if it's not what you personally would do/agree with hunting is quite common and is often used as a source of income/food. I've seen quite offensive characters/names around here, and frankly a hunting character is nothing in comparison. P:
