I had a blast with the contest and finished my entries so quickly. :B
Personally, I'm not going for a breeding artist. I can do breedings if I must, I just can't stand the thought of my only job being making breedings. Some people like it, for me it gives me rules I have to follow and I'm best working from scratch with my own ideas. So yeah, no matter how tempting it is, I'm not going to try out to be a breeding artist because if I actually get a spot doing it, I'll be wishing all the time I could be an adopt artist.
The entries are amazing, though. At least there are multiple spots for artists or I'd be twice as nervous. XD
I remember when the last artist contest was. That was so long ago...

I know what you mean Ral! I prefer making Starters better, i have alot more inspiration and creativity for them, I applied for both but i feel my foal designs end up really busy, and maybe looking to much like the parents (any one care to tell me there opinion?) anyways i would love to do either, either one would be an amazing experience and i would just love to be so involved with as being an artist Breeding or Original. Actually the oportunity is just Amazing! i remember sitting out the last artist competition thinking i wasnt good enough! Now im giving it a go!
I have to agree Lirrie, it creates a huge opportunity for the species to grow immensely!

Haha, Copper. I also didn't enter for the first artist contest as I thought horsy was only choosing one artist, and I didn't feel I had enough skill to support the whole WMEs. XP
I love you entries, though, Copper. They're really lovely and well-designed. Good luck. <3

I can totally agree with you both, I would also prefer to work as an original artist. I don't think I'll apply for the position of a breeding artist. My preference is to be creative, play around with colors and patterns and different tools, and I don't think that I'd be happy working with the "restrictions" of a breeding artist. Not to mention that I'd find it very, very hard to create foals that a) represent both parents, b) meet the wishes of the owner (if possible) and c) look appealing. When I looked at breeding pair #2 I gasped, everyone who even attempts to design a foal for those two has my full respect, I wouldn't dare (they are both very lovely but I'd find them so hard to combine).

Actually, would anyone mind giving me a little critique on my first breeding? :3

That's one handsome boy 8)
I love how you combined the parents, especially the quipping, that the shape of it is somewhat similar to Emerson's (especially on the ribcage) but has Sherlock's multi-colors.
It's a very appealing design cause it looks well thought-through and "complete", if you know what I mean. :3

He is very nice! his color looks good and he seems to have traits from both parents. He is different from boh parents but still noticably thiers, overall i like him very much.

Here's Mine for that pair (
[Link]) Now tell me what you think of mine too, i think i have a tendency to make them to much like there parents (mostly quipping wise)
