Imir's design and general feel was loosely based on the book "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern, Ja'far is heavily based on Ja'far from Magi, and Nezumi's design is based on Nezumi from No. 6.

hmm, it depends on the sima? Most of the time I get a general feel of what I want their personality to be, just based on the way they look and what their design makes me feel, and then I start to develop them more based on what I want their general feel to be?

Yes! My first sima was Akia <3

I'm just gonna do fandom Simas bc that's easier than themes
I have Edd, Matt, Tom, Tord, Eduardo, and Marc - all based off characters from Eddsworld. Next up we have Dylan, who's based off of Dylan Fuentes from Dead Rising 3. After him comes McCree and Hanzo, who are based off the Overwatch characters. Next up is Mouse the Mew-based Sima. Then there's Kyouhai and Jibanyang, from Yokai Watch (because I'm a nerd). After them is Paige and Tony from DHMIS. Next is Scorn, based off Justice League Superman, I believe? Then we have Mark, Jack, Felix, Ryan, and Ken - aka YouTuber Simas. Then there's my Steven Universe-based baby, Piper Quinn, who was modeled after Rose Quartz. Next is Showtime (top), who was based off the L4D Smoker. After that, we have Snake and Dagger, who were based off the Kuroshitsuji characters. Next up is Andrew Dennis and Ashley, who were inspired by the members of the band Black Veil Brides who share their namesake. And FINALLY, we have Belphegor, who's based off the character from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
...Okay, if you wanna count name-wise, I also have Rotti, Marni, Luigi, and Shiloh, who were all named after characters from Repo! The Genetic Opera. Then there's Mikey and Gerard, who were named after the members of the band My Chemical Romance because rawr xD//SHOT And FINALLY (for real this time), I'm pretty sure Shima and Aizen were named after characters from an online game? I'm not sure, though.
Altogether that's 35 Simas. Not bad - I thought I'd have more tbh.

Usually it's instant - if not, I mull over a few ideas and try writing their interactions out to get a feel for how I want them to act.

My first Sima was ambient smile's Jasper, actually! <: I don't own him anymore (obviously), but I know he's in a good home now <3

It honestly depends on the design for me. Sometimes it comes instantly, and other times I have to work atit a little bit. In the ed, I'm always happy with how they come out.

My first Sima was Heylel/Lucifer, and I will never give him up.

My dream sima is #700, but I don't know if I'll be able to do all that I want for them.

Noros ; Absolutly hates it! he def. thinks its annoying and will force himself to make soup to get healthy quickker
Almond ; Lots of blankets, a dry heater, and a cup of chicken broth.
Flask ; Keeps to himself, no matter how bad it gets. his kids (willow & Susan) will attempt to nurse him back to health.

loois ; Lifeguard, he's pretty passive about it, finds it sorta boring .v.

Hrnn I don't even know, it can be sudden and instant (like when in competitions) but otherwise I have to think of a lot of different personalities then choose which one suits them best by image

Kristoff, Sven and Olaf are all definitely Frozen themed. Caeleb is based on the game Fire Emblem: Awakening.

I often base them around a central theme, something I saw or read or heard. It makes it easier to develop from there - though sometimes I get an idea based simply on their design.

Repeat was my first! He's my baby, and of course I still own him.

I own two dream simas: Clark, and Alrik. They were two of my favorite simas back in the day, and I was so excited when I got to take them into my care. I love them to pieces!

Generally I try to muse with music while working on forms for them - for Livius he came off as something sinister and so I just sorta built on that :0c
Other times I like to try to give them a personality that might be opposite of what they look like they'd be. :0c
