So... would a Signature Auctionhouse ever interest anyone? ;0 I'm hoping to open one soon... it would be a bimonthly thing with 2 signatures (approximately) going up every month for auction. People bid on them, and then the winner gets the code PM'd to them. In doing this, if I ever found (a) collaborator(s) to work with me, there would be very strict guidelines. Very example, making sure to use only images that are allowed; no original art, etc, to avoid getting shut down.

Anyways, I was thinking of calling it "Kings and Queens", and I've begun the coding. Would anyone offer advice/etc. for doing something like this? c: I've wanted to open a signature shop, but due to being only to get on for around 30-60 min. a day, that wouldn't be possible. Through this, I would have a nice amount of time to code the signatures to be auctioned off (and check the images so that they're safe).

Welcome to the club! It's always nice seeing new people.
I really like your auction house idea! It is a creative and new idea of going about things, and should work very well, considering yiur time constraint. This is the first time I have heard of anything even remotely close to this, so I may be stalking you a bit to see how it goes, haha. But yeah, if enough people get interested, I think it is a very nice idea that I believe in.
Though I would probably determine the length of the auctions of how many people you get to offer on the sig. I'm no auctions expert, but having multiple offers is a good thing. There is also the chance that people simply will not be interested in that particular signature theme or are not willing to bid high enough for it. It can certainly be a tricky business, but I am sure you will be able to master it. Perhaps do theme submissions, and the most popular themes get done first? You could potentially do this a number of ways, either through polls or through DMs (since you wouldn't want to clog up the thread).

@minus; welcome to the club! i like your auction idea (ive seen a few people do sig giveaways, but an auction may be a nice way to earn pets). id love to see how this ends up, and if you do end up wanting to collaborate id love to participate! even so, i will probably keep an eye on it as well like para said, it seems very interesting! c: i also wanted to say if you have any coding questions, feel free to pm me! Using normal font because... Well, I stuffed up. A lot.

I had an idea of doing the adopt a newbie program similar to the way I did something offsite, however it won't work that way is the long story short. I need to do a few extra things before I get this up and running (Typing out word definitions is a huge one I am neglecting to do.)

So I will be focusing on completing these little things before I can get this started, this is so the program can run as smoothly as possible for all who help and for all who need help. This also means I need to get people to fill out a forum which has more detail in it so I can better organize things.

I apologize for this inconvenience, I didn't realize a few variables that are necessary for this program to work.

As of right now, I have a bunch of '09 rares that can be used as a prize for the veteran's raffle, but I plan to trade them up for a list pet for this competition. It will go ahead.

that's quite a wonderful idea!! i would definitely bid
what if you were able to bid with another siggy?
for example, if you were auctioning a care bear (just something random) siggy,
then in return the best bid could be a siggy with a theme that your'e looking for.
it's sort of like art trades, i guess
not too sure if it would work out (ノ▽〃)


on another note, im thinking of making a "howl's moving castle" siggy,
but i kinda like mine atm

@ Para: Thank you very much! c: I'm glad to see you like the idea. Yeah, I was definitely hoping to at least have 2-4 signatures running at a time for myself, plus more for collaborators. Yeah, I definitely was planning on opening a "Voting" section, so the most popular themes get done first; even deleting themes that get no votes within a week or so.

You'd definitely have to be careful, though, with art theft, and making sure said bidder can prove that an original/copyright stuff either belongs to thewm or they've received permission, so there's no issues. vnv But, definitely will be a future possibility!
