i'm really in the mood to reread sankarea, probably my favorite anime and one of my favorite mangas

...........so i might as well recommend it here ;u;

Furuya's obsessed with zombies. He collects any figurines, watches any movie, and plays any game with the living dead, and is even only interested in zombie girls. When his cat dies, Furuya begins trying to raise it from the dead using an ancient book of the occult he bought from a shop. But what will happen when he sees the idol of a nearby all girl's school walking close to where he conducts his experiment, wishing to die and be reborn as a different person?

If I'm allowed to add on to the scary anime topic, Psycho-Pass isn't scary all the time, it's more a psychological thriller. However there are graphic scenes every now and again.

i recently started watching mourestu pirates (bodacious space pirates), and so far it's great! i just finished the first episode, and wow, the school marika goes to is amazing! i mean, they have space ships IN the school! plus the café she works in seems to have pretty cool concept, they're common in japan i think. has anyone else watched it?

Might I reccomend X/1999? It's an amazing action/fantasy anime with hardly any romance at all. It's about this team called the Seven Seals who wish to preserve the world and they fight the Seven Angels who wish to renew it so that a higher form of life can live there. The main character is a boy named Kamui who has to pick which side to join. My description doesn't really do the show much justice but yeah, it's my all time favorite. I will warn you though, I does tend to have a few violent scenes here and there.
