I really love mysteries, and I had a feeling it wasn't the bakers. But I would never have guessed it was actually the three of the mane six characters who did it! X)

I really wanna make one of the my little pony sweets, but im not sure what a chimmy chonga (sp?) sounds good strangely, but i wanna do one of pinkies other treats. Any suggestions? I'd post something when i was done. ALSO! march is my birthday, and my brother and I are going to have a joint birthday party. My mom is planning on getting me a MLP smash cake, want me to post a picture when the time comes?

Gemstone cupcakes are really easy, I've done them before. Here's a pic of my cupcakes.

All you need...
- Box of white cake mix (and the ingredients it tells you to get on the back of the box)
- Cupcake liners
- Ziplock bags (the big gallon sized ones, not the little snack bags.)
- A kitchen hammer or meat tenderizer, some sort of kitchen smashing implement
- Blue food coloring
- Vanilla frosting
- Blue hard candy (rock candy works the best for obvious reasons. I used Ringpops.)
- Blue crystal sprinkles (optional, for extra sugary goodness)

1. Follow the instructions on the back of the cake mix box to make the cupcakes themselves.
2. Break up your hard candy! Put the candy in a ziplock bag and whack it with a hammer until you get good-sized chunks (make sure you don't smash them into dust!) A kitchen hammer works fine, I used a cheap mini hammer from the grocery store. Make sure you change bags if yours breaks or gets holes.
3. Mix the frosting and blue food coloring until you get a nice blue color.
4. Frost your cupcakes when done and decorate with the smashed candy. Often the smashed candy will leave candy dust so you can sprinkle that on top.

Eat carefully (since broken candy can be sharp, especially Ringpops) and enjoy!

My very VERY favorite fan-made pony song is Lullaby For A Princess by Ponyphonic. There is a Luna version and one where they sing it together- I love those too. But the Celestia version... gah. <3 it so much.

I saw the new Crystal Motion ponies at Walmart. They actually didn't look as weird as I thought they would. Didn't get one, but nice to know they are starting to hit the shelves.
