I'm also excited to see what Onion's house is like and possibly even hear him talk.

He has "talked" before in that episode with Ranger Guy, but it was just mixed up sounds. And what is an Onion? I have no idea.

We know that his father "lives" on a boat, so maybe the house might be related to ships. That's just what I think though.

Personally, I think Vidalia and Yellow Tail are Onions parents.
But first I think Marty and Vidalia gave birth to Sour Cream.

Onion and Sour Cream are step Brothers while Vidalia (A type of Onion) is Onion's mother. The names in this show are probably created by hungry writers.

I think your right. Yellowtail is most likely Onion's dad and Sour Cream's step dad, so all that remains to be known is Onion's mother.

I haven't seen story for Steven yet, but your point does make sense. Well, we'll most likely see in the new episode.

Story for Steven is one of my favorites, personally.
Though "We Need to Talk" is my favorite they made a pretty good introduction to Rose Quartz in the past whilst "We Need to Talk" shows how Rose can have flaws and isn't perfect like Pearl and most gems make it up to be.

I can't find any information that confirms this about malachite being toxic in water, but I do know the dust of malachite is toxic due its high levels of copper sulphate.
