@ asteria ; it's happened to me and it... stings. On one occasion a client ordered and paid for two signatures from me, both of which contained images that were rounded so that you'd have to sandwich the signature between.

They never used either code as far as I could tell (from scrolling through my shop), but did go on to order the exact same signature from two other coders. Including the one I used to work at. The simple left-center-right layout that clumsily filled the space ended up chosen - the exact layout I wanted to avoid so I'd feel better about charging for the code

what are some of your coding / signature pet peeves?:
definitely how the preview in the signature settings are different than the actual cs forum. also finding the right gifs and images can sometimes be hard, but at other times it's also really fun so that sort of depends.
some pet peeves i have on other peoples signatures are when gifs are squished. this often happens. or when they use very blinding colors that you can not read without highlighting it. (i bet you had to do that, or quote it haha)

have you tried anything new with your coding lately?:
yeah, every single time. i always try new themes, layouts, color schemes, fonts, etc. i get tired of the same thing over and over and trying new things always improves my coding. for example in my current signature i tried making things go to the right in left columns, and overlapping fonts and png images.

how have you improved, from when you first started coding to now? give us some examples, if you're able to!:
when i first started to code all i could really do is [ left][/left ] and then [ right][/right ] it was very hideous and the images were always squished... i have definitely improved. i sadly (kinda... maybe thankfully?) don't have any examples to provide.

have you ever tried coding in another person's/friend's style? if so, how did it go?:
yeah part of my signature was inspired my canada and i think it turned out alright?

what do you consider to be professional bbcoding?:
well i personally think it looks more professional with dingbats and nice veer fonts. there also has to be some sort of divider in it and the way the text is laid out is also a very important role.

and now i have a quick question to ask you! does my signature appear on everyone's screen alright? i'm on chrome. c:

@ boys ; That would be "Handsome Pro" - found in the Handsome font family on MyFonts.

@ storm ; it fits (and looks lovely!), but it's worth noting that these two images won't load.

have you ever tried coding in another person's/friend's style? if so, how did it go?:
the thought of it often passed my mind, but i never decided to practice such a thing under the possibility of blatantly copying one's own style, aesthetics, etc.

have you tried anything new with your coding lately?
to be honest, no. i'm sort of in a coding hiatus lately, because ideas are so difficult to project. and i am particularly stagnant in publishing new patterns. also, a new theme and a flourish of colours that center upon noirish elements came up in my mind, and destroyed my most common and most executed tune, black and white. due to that, it is just so difficult for me to work with lively colors, as the pattern of black and white seeped into my aesthetics for so long that it is not flexible for me to change my long-lasting tastes.

what are some of your coding / signature pet peeves?
when i see images/gifs that do not correspond or compliment the main quote(s). even though some may consider this feeble, and insignificant, it's just so vexing for me.

and to @storm coming., when i clicked on your profile, yes it fits! i don't know if it'll fit under your posts, though. sorry about that!

@ evy ; Digitally Distinct is more suited to this sort of request, but I still tried my hand at it. See, you have to think in terms of columns - putting everything in alignment tags simplifies that stuff a lot!! And it's important to note that you can nest alignment tags within alignment tags

Soooooo, the thing breaking your code was the x's you were using to manually center your bio text. I got rid of those and used a [ left] [ center][/ center][/ left] setup for the bio so that it's perfectly centered and isn't intruding on other columns. Another trick for indentation is the [ list] tag.

@idiotic.boys It's kind of hard to recognize fonts like that, but odds are, it's on 1001fonts.com.

What are some of your coding/signature pet peeves?:
coding: the signature always turns out different than what you expect. You can't code in the actual signature spot, so I code in a random thread. The preview may look perfect, but then when I paste it in the signature box and submit, it's different. Sometimes it does fit, but every time the test is shrunk.
signature: the only thing that bothers me about signatures is when colors are random or shades don't match. That's it.

Have you tried anything new with your coding lately?:
Not really. I mean I've put the main picture outside the overall signature, but that's all. I've been planning something big with rotating pictures, but that's a surprise.

How have you improved, from when you first started coding to now? give us some examples, if you're able to!:
My signatures when I first started were very basic. In fact, at first, they were just a picture with a quote underneath. Eventually, I started breaking it up and used left right center coding. They were basic, but they looked decent. I just kept on adding and improving until I was satisfied. I don't know if I have any examples, but I'll check. You can view one from March 2015 here.

@All I have to go now, so I can't answer anymore questions. I finished a new signature today. Any critique would be greatly appreciated! For those who don't know, it's a Alycia Debnam Carey signature that shows her as well as a popular character she plays named Lexa. I'm working on changing my avatar. The one I have now is just temporary.

oh gosh. my very first signatures were a total mess, haha! i never really used the inmage fonts, or any of the text fonts (although i do now, thank god!) and i don't think i knew what i was doing. actually, i still dont know what im doing. now i use a lot of trial and error, but at least i now know how to manipulate the code.

sort of. i never really use the underline feature in my codes, but as you can see below, i used it a bit in this most recent code. i also never really use more than one type of font, either, but im happy with how this character form turned out!

astrid is one of those wolves that others take for granted. she is kind, and sweet, but never
gets a chance to prove herself to others. her overall submissive nature makes it hard to take
astrid seriously, along with the fact that she is always getting herself in trouble by taking the
blame for her packmates. nobody truely trusts her for that. unless, of course, they actually
take the time to get to know the she-wolf. her loyalty towards her pack rarely shows, but it
is there, and there to stay. now and then, a northerner will become a threat, and astrid will
injure herself severly to save a packmate. but when it is over, she will remember nothing.
the northerner will disappear. other times, when nobody is in immediate danger, astrid tries
her luck with words. she is both humble, and mellow in that way. astrid is a kind wolf; often
receives a harsh look. but do not be fooled, she is more innocent than any wolf could be.

@night; i like the form, but it doesnt fit on my screen. here is a screencap. i would suggest making it so the words dont go past "beautiful" and probably make it a tiny bit smaller so it matches with the end of the image side. other than that, i think it looks fantastic! the fonts you chose are fun and easy to read; i love the monochrome and the way youve set it up is simple and provides lots of space for info. i feel like many forms are often lacking in detailed info, so i really appreciate the effort you put into that.

@kristen; i love it! unfortunately, the last image is bumped down on my screen (it looks to be only a couple pixels too wide). that aside, i enjoy the color scheme youre using. the pink is a very nice shade, soft, but not unreadable like some, and its spread nciely throughout. your layout provides a lot of room for info, but its not crowded at all. i really like how you did an overlay with the crown on the menu. super unique!
