Anyone care to explain to me what the souls are and used for?

After Christmas, I started scraping.

Oh, and really, I'm just hunting for a Soldier and Medic soul.

Of course, there are a few things I'd rather have besides those...
...like a Dashin' Hashashin. *sigh*

Oh, a Dashin'.. Even the non genuine version is 2 keys and up. I wish you the best of luck in acquiring it. I know some people are asking for metal rather than keys so it shouldn't be impossible to find.

Voodoo cursed souls are halloween items that turn your character into a zombie. But only on Halloween enabled servers.

The mercenary souls were miscellaneous items released last year for the Halloween update.

It basically makes the player looked like a zombie.

Example: The Medic

I joined AFTER the halloween event.

When it goes around again, how do you get them?

You could get them from crafting piles of curses. But every Halloween is different so I don't think they'll be back next year. You can trade for them, however. They're only about a scrap each, or a reclaimed for a haunted one.
