have to admit im really sad the limit is back at ten, i wouldn't have traded so many slots if I'd known the limit was coming back </3
the info page says you can't use more slots than that until you've "earnt them" does that just mean the yearly additional slot or will there be a way to earn more slots?

Not sure how old your wmes are but make sure you take into account how old the WME is, since every year they get more slots. So base 10 + 1 per year as of Jan 1st of that year.
2014 = 21 slots
But
2024 = 11 slots

And horsy has confirmed there will be more ways to earn slots in addition to the yearly 1.

yes, your wme's birthday is (functionally) january 1, 2024. even if they are not quite a year yet

hmmm intersting, so technically I might have 15 slots for Casper? He'd have 11 + 4 personal for my use only if I'm understanding everything correctly..
I had traded and gifted a total of 10 already.
Or would it -1 due to that 11?
Also do we need to get signed approval with a screenshot for my other slots? I just wanna be 100% sure on everything ahead of time!!
I assumed it regardless woulda gone based off of the Month, Day and Year of creation date.

he has 11 total slots at this moment. as per the breeding information post, if you post on his page that all of his base slots have been spoken for you are given an extra four in the meanwhile for your own use. this would put him at 15 total. if you accept and use the extra four slots, you cannot add another slot for the next four he earns - be it through aging up or through other means (it has been hinted they might be awarded through the harpg, but nothing is confirmed yet). you would essentially have to "earn back" the immediate allowance you'd be given.

i don't believe we have been given a firm deadline for accepting the 4 slot boost but if all his slots are spoken for it would probably be a good idea to do it sooner rather than later!

Well realistically.. don't think I'll need more than 5 for myself for a very long time anyways.
Because 1. The quantity of people who apply for breeding = the long wait per breeding order 2. I've got over 10 now, most are also old ones I've purchased = have more themselves 3. I like to switch up on breedings in between.
So even if for years I have to deal with just 5.. I can make it work, even if this community never shuts back down and breeding was 100% active all year round.. So think I can work with those 5 even over months/years as is. TBH I may only end up using him like 1-3 times this year depending on how many I get in this year. 4. I've also got reserved slots to use ;^; so if used just my favorite... Eeep.. So I am still glad to had shared his slots with others who missed out on the amazing white quipless boi who def stole my heart ;-;
To me he's very much special regardless 100% kept to myself or shared with others!
Also 5. I'd also have the high desire to breed his offspring and build my own family tree with him and his mate and whichever offspring I love of his most. May pair him with his mate 2-3 times then 2-3 with others.

Someone is swapping one of their slots offered to me but my side remains the same. But no username reserves are gonna be asked for trade backs as long as I have a few for myself with no troubles. I already have his personal post with all of the users, so I'll post on Casper's page soon then to ensure! But if it takes away 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028, then that's fine by me as I still can breed him far in the future if WME are open + I am active on the net and not too busy in a new chapter in life!

Also hmmm if I claim those 4... wouldn't 2025 count or 2026 onward? I know u said it be 15 but we sure? What if his 11th is counted? IDK just trying to be sure. Just hope that if anything changes, it doesn't prevent me from having at least 5 as that was my original hope soon as I got him was to at least had bred him around 5 times myself, even if spread out across 2-3 or more years.

You only get 4 for yourself on top of those already allocated, so if you have not given the 11th slot away then it will count towards the 4 but you MUST specifically list wherever you keep your slot list that these are for you.

I have offered people the 4 slots in good faith that you will not abuse it and giveaway all the slots so you can get extra slots for yourself. Hence why the rules state that you need to earn the slots before you get more again.
So Folmes, your question is in bad faith which is why I have not replied, because that is an example of behaviour that I hoped not to see from owners, being the amazing people you are.

So technically in my case with Casper, it's 3 that are to be earned as the 11th is unlocked for 2025?
I've updated his reserves list + posted it on his official adoption page! The post on his adoption page, I hope that I did this correctly and have understood everything correctly?
