Does anyone know if we're ever gonna get season 4 of kuroshitsuji? I just caught up on the manga after like a year of not reading and now I crave

I have no idea.
AFAIK the most current non-manga Kuroshitsuji content RN is the Book of the Atlantic movie.

Yeah, that's the latest. Since that came out over 3 years ago now I was hoping there'd be news of a new season or movie, but after a google search I can't find anything ;-;

If you like Black Butler you should probably just read it at this point.
But if you watched the anime, you’ll be disappointed since it’s totally different.
So ??? what to do. I personally have only ever read it, know about the anime through a friend.
Might watch just S2 for Alois content.

As someone who has read the manga up to the most recent chapters I myself think that Kuroshitsuji fans should read the manga because as I said before, Black Butler watchers (not readers) aren’t going to get any new content for a long time if ever.

However, you should know that by skipping to S2 and only watching S2 you’re skipping any and all animated canon because AFAIK the other seasons are canon with non-canon additions, while S2 isn’t canon in the least.

I wish the first two seasons followed the manga tbh, the characters and plotlines in them are confusing, especially since it switches back to the original story for everything after that. I did totally dig the angel in the first season though, that was pretty rad.

I’ve only recently read the manga in its entirety, and I haven’t watched the anime outside of YouTube clips, but same. (^ u ^)

I've considered season skipping too whenever I decide to truly watch the anime (albeit opposite to the way you plan to skip).

On another note, since we're on the subject of Black Butler and we're all up to date with the manga, what do the both of you think will happen to Ciel's brother?

Anyone that wants to get to him will seemingly have to go through the Undertaker to do so, and the Undertaker has shown himself to be the most powerful character in Kuroshitsuji (unless of course somebody more powerful is introduced).

I bet Undertaker's science will backfire, cuz what he's doing with Ciel's brother is like super unstable, I don't think the body will last. Something will probably go wrong before he can get the whole blood thing sorted out. I don't think it's likely his brother is actually back for good, although I do like him.

Also, is anyone else freaking out over Prince Soma seemingly heading to the darkside? Because I said out loud "oh no bb what is u doin"

This is a good theory!
I think his own science could backfire on the Undertaker too because the zombies he creates have already proven to be unstable/unfinished.

Soma headed to the dark side is also sad, and I hope he doesn't truly become evil.
Agni's death really hurt him, but I hope that just before he turns evil he'll realize that it's not what Agni would of wanted and choose to be good.

Same. He was such a happy character for so long, it's a big oof to the feels to see him like that. Similar feeling with Lizzy being so distressed since her original fiance is back.
Also, I can't wait to see more of Undertaker during his reaper days, his story seems like it's going to be pretty cool. Im hyped for it.
