{ the host is amazing though i must say that i do not like the twilight series by the same author. her main character is too passive and damsel-y, if you now what i mean. the host's protagonist is much more believable.
the book thief is amazing. the amount of german curse words i learned... cx
hugo. counts. as. a. book.
the movie is nothing like the book.
if you're looking for historical fiction, i'd suggest house of the spirits by isabel allende. true, it's an adult book, but then you get bragging rights to say you've forced your way through it.
does anyone have a good classic book to read? i'm working on the great gatsby but need somewhere to go after that.

from the same author there is The Beautiful and The Damned, it is described as good but not as great as The Great Gatsby. I personally have never read it, but I am looking at it sitting on my shelf right now. also, you will definitely get bragging rights by reading Ulysses by James Joyce. it's quite the deep book.

Jane Austen is actually very good, but if you don't like romance maybe try Charles Dickens. I recently got Great Expectations from the library, but have yet to read it. It looks pretty good, though.
And I agree with you on Hugo - it is a book, and it was very, very good! (And rather funky, actually!)
I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG. I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)
So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;

oh, I've read Great Expectations. It's not exactly my cup of tea but it was interesting and pretty nice. I didn't buy Hugo cause I saw the movie and it was kinda boring so I thought that the book would be boring as well..

Not sure if you'll like any of them, but some classics that I've read are The Grapes of Wrath, The Scarlet Letter, and Red Badge of Courage.

I'd suggest the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. They were very good, in my opinion

Thanks! I've read a few of his other books and enjoyed them. I didn't know he wrote a Steampunk series!
Yeah, he's one of my favourite authours. My friends didn't like the book, but I adored it!
