Luckily for Heather, the truck drove right over her, and the breeze and the smell of gasoline woke her up. Her wings had been tucked in, so the truck caused no harm. She jumped up, her wings still aching, and ran across the road.
Note to self- Don't fly until your wings recover... She thought.

Wingless Joy shuffled around, ignoreing all other butterfly wolves stares. She had just emerged from her cucoon. Her brother and sister looked at her with dismay. Plush looked at her sadly and said, "Joy, you have...No wings." Joy tried to look on her back, twisting her head this way and that, but to no avail. Sky, her big brother reasted his wing on her wingless sholder comfertingly, "It's alright, Joy! I'll never judge you." But not all the butterfly wolves felt this way. "You call yourself a 'Butterfly Wolf'? YOur hardly a wolf at all!" A smug voice came from the crowd of watching faces. Two Butterfly wolves emerged, an blue flower and an orange flower. The one with blue flowers smiled mocengly and said, "I'm Blue, and this is my sister Orange." They both looked like the snottiest Butterfly wolves out there. Sky stepped infront of his little sister protectively, "You don't have the athority to do that to my sister!" Suddenly, footsteps came from just outside the Butterfly Wolf room. "I heard shouting in here." A girl said, stepping through the door way. "Mix!" Joy cried, leaping into her arms, and bering her head in ther chest. "They are so mean, Mix! I don't want to be here!" Mix looked disaproveingly at Blue and Orange. "For this you will be punished." Mix said strokeing Wingless Joy.

Yawning, Wingless awoke to Wolf standing over her, leash in hand. "Come on, Mix just called and said her little cocoons hatched." Wingless leaped up and together she and Wolf walked over to Mix's house.
Mix was Wolf's best friend, who moved to the city of CS when Wolf told her about it. Wolf lived on a large ranch, out in the middle of nowhere, only five miles drive from the city. But, on the ranch, Wingless and many of the other pets and visitors easily forgot that they were so close to Chicken Smoothie City.
There was the sound of yelling behind the house, and the young Butterfly Wolf figured the other pets were yelling in joy for the new grown pets.
