Peppermint =)
So I've been riding for, umm... between seven and eight years, I think. I ride English, mostly dressage, but we show flat classes sometimes and we do some pole work and we've done some stuff over small small jumps. I used to ride at a jumping barn for about 3/4 of a year at the same time as where I'm now, but where I am now worked out much better for me.
I lease a saddlebred/arab once a week and we have a lesson another day every week. He's great- he's 7, 16.2ish, and a dark bay pinto. We went to off-stable shows twice this year, one at the beginning of summer and one in September, and both were great experiences.
The last lesson I had we worked over a little crossrail jump and some trot poles. Jesse's not trained to jump, only what he's done with me. It was succesful (no refusals, diving out etc) but certainly wasn't pretty xD He's a clutzy boy.
Oh, and just so you all know, there's another very active horse thread in the animal chatter
http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=1491275 That's a great place to go to, too. In case one thread isn't enough horse talk for you xD
