Well, the way I had it strung didn't give the bow it's full power - maybe 15 pounds or so? It was easier to pull back, but mainly it was just because I'd been practicing a month that way is what made it easier. Now, strung the right way, it's got a full 35 pounds of draw weight and a heck of a lot more shooting power. x'D

Oh, I see. Well, at least you figured it out so you wouldn't have a limited power before! Was the weight 15lb. when strung the wrong way, or did it just lose 15lb.?

When I went to Gander Mountain to get my bow's string, I saw a lot of compound bows there. It depends one which kind you want, but I guess you could also look on eBay or something?

I'll try to reply to all of these posts, forgive me if I miss one. xD

Red - It didn't lose 15 lbs, cause I can tell it's still really powerful when strung correctly, I think it had something to do with the fact that, when strung backwards, I was pulling with the resistance of the bow, instead of against it which is what causes it to spring back. So yeah.... i dunno. That probably sounds confusing. xD

Wild - I bout mine on amazon.com, just make sure the one you pick had good reviews. This is what I got: [Link] Also, thanks for joining! ^^

Peterick - It's the green one I've been using. It was just strung backwards.... can't really explain in better than that. Like how I had the handle pointing out? Mom found out it's actually supposed to be pointing in.

How heavy is that one? I need a lightweight one, I am strong but not enought for more than 5 pounds. I also don't want to go hunting.

I believe the lightest bow you can get is about 12 lb youth bow, those are usually pretty small though. Don't worry, it's not as hard as you think. ;3 I'd suggest starting with a 15 lb or so and working up as you get stronger if you're worried about it. ;)

So I went for my first target practice today. I'd have to say I did pretty well for my first try. I missed the target a lot though, however, I did get it into the smallest circle twice!
