Haha, I tried doing a Gollum voice a few minutes ago and it sounded pretty good!

I do that too sometimes. I have a real bow though, but I haven't used it in a while. I had a little shooting range in the backyard. It was a couple haybales with a target on it, but the haybales are all dirty and disgusting now. I want my dad to set it back up again, but he doesn't want to do the hay thing again. Any ideas? Trees won't work, cause they just bounce right off and break.

I don't know... My friend has a bow, and he's just amazing with it! They actually gave him a place in a national championship, and he's only thirteen, but he didn't go in the end. He once taught me a bit of how to handle the bow and everything, but he doesn't want all his friends to see me with him because they will say I'm his girlfriend . I might be going to archery classes in a few weeks time

Yeah, if he wants to. Boys are really annoying and un-understandable sometimes . I want to get a bow and learn how to use it and then ride around on my horse shooting arrows like Legs! That friend of mine actually quite likes LotR, though. The other day we were having a discussion on if Legolas or Hawkeye were better. We came to the conclusion that they are both cool in different ways . But everyone keeps on telling me that I am too obsessed with LotR

I'd like to go to archery classes, but most of them are pretty far away from where I live. I live in the suburbs, and they are all in urban areas. It's too bad, I went to this one good archery place once or twice, but I just never feel like getting up at 7 to drive an hour to that place. Your friend sounds pretty cool. :3

Your friend sounds AWESOME. But I will tell you that shooting an arrow on horseback is a heck of a lot harder than shooting from a standing position.

Yeah, that sounds really difficult. Riding (for me) was pretty hard, but it was mainly because I was nervous the horse was gonna throw me off the whole time after I fell for the first time. But it would be awesome to be able to ride and shoot at te same time!

I know. I find it hard to keep my balance on a horse at a canter, even holding onto the saddle. Yet alone holding a bow, slotting in the arrow and aiming properly. Orlando Bloom must have taken so many horse riding classes . I can't even aim properly and it takes me ages to adjust the arrow standing still. Imagine on a horse!
