I have seven episodes of UWM left... I *might* be able to finish it today if I don't get distracted!
I feel like watching an anime in the same way as FMA03. Give me an anime that's 50-odd episodes long with awesome music, an unpredicatble plot and a bittersweet ending! Just not a bittersweet ending that leaves me thinking "what did I just spend two weeks watching" ten minutes later.

Blood+ has 50 episodes. It's a horror anime (blood and monsters) with lots of fighting and a bittersweet romance story.
No.6, Betrayal knows my Name, Guardian of the Spirit, Death Note and Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro are shorter animes, but also great.
I'm a bit out of animes, since I already recommended you all I watched.

I've been thinking of watching Death Note, but I think I've accidentally self-spoiled the ending, because on Tumblr I saw a gifset of Light dying in the manga.

As I said before, Spoilers don'r ruin a show for me. I knew who dies in Death Note before watching it, but I still found it fun to watch, because Light and L and the Shinigamis are all interesting characters.

I watched a lot of amvs. You just can't ruin a show for me with spoilers. I sometimes read the whole description of a movie before watching it, with thoughts like "that scene is probably exciting, I wonder how they play it out" and such. I'm still excited about fight scenes, laugh about funny scenes and cry about sad scenes, even if I rewatch them.

Okay (about Blood+).

FMA03 is really complicated. I found out about halfway through that the homunculi are zombies, Edward dies and gets brought back to life and the real world was on the other side of the gate due to TV Tropes and YouTube, but that STILL wasn't enough to give away the entire ending for me.

EDIT: Similarly, I got into Utawarerumono knowing most of the plot twists and the premise (guy with amnesia and a mask wakes up in a village of dog-people), but not the actual plot, or most of the characters. X3

How long have you been watching Utawarerumono? I'm on episode 16 and I started this morning XD

I started it a several weeks ago, on the day I finished FMAB, dropped it after episode 5, picked it back up again a couple of weeks ago and I'm currently a couple of minutes into episode 22. You must be a fast watcher.

I don't know about others, but I can watch a 26 episode anime in a day if I feel like it.
I've been known to cover more than that if a series is really good. At one point in time, I think I watched over 30 episodes of Detective Conan...
