There's a whole lot of grunts that regret their decisions; some of them give you items, though. One even transports you back to the Pokémon Center in the League, which I freaked out about, but you can go right back. xD
And... N's room. *sigh* This is why I "restarted" my game.

(Cedar is currently level 44 and about to battle Clay, and we shall catch up soon. <3 It's a sad thing that I probably won't be here when I get to N's Castle...)

I think N is such a great character because he's extremely relatable.

He has an abusive father, he didn't have a real childhood, he was swayed into being someone he's not, he sees so much suffering in the world and wonders how any place could be so cruel, he grows to hate the world for being so merciless, and all he wants is for someone, anyone, to LISTEN to him, to UNDERSTAND.

NO GHETSIS NO. D: He spurred N into doing this goshdarn stuff, and then blames him for all of the crap that they lost, poor N. </3

*sigh* Yes and no. Finding the Seven (technically six) Sages is kind of like a side quest, like completing the Pokédex, but they give you TM's and if you catch them all, Looker says something about N.
To transfer Pokémon from D/P/PT/HG/SS, you just have to go to the Poké Transfer Lab on Route 15 (between Nimbasa and Black City/White Forest), and the scientist dudes there tell you all about it.

You can scroll down to the version-exclusive stuff here.
Black City is a place where you can battle trainers that come and go, exclusive to Black. White Forest is where you can catch a bunch of older Pokémon, which are shown on that page that I linked, and is exclusive to White. (both only accessable after the National Dex)

These are the only Pokémon exclusives that matter before you complete the game.~
Cottonee/Whimsicott and Petilil/Lilligant
(even though they are exclusives, a Nacrene City NPC will trade for the other one)
Gothita/Gothorita/Gothitelle and Solosis/Duosion/Reuniclus
Vullaby/Mandibuzz and Rufflet/Braviary
Tornadus and Thundurus
(roaming legendaries)
Reshiram and Zekrom

To be honest, I'm really split down the middle for the exclusives this time around. I only really wanted Black because I preferred Reshiram over Zekrom. xD Also note that in Black, you'll hear about and see a lot more of Zekrom because of the things N does, and in White, you hear/see more of Reshiram.
It's all up to you, though. Either way, they're great games with a great storyline. c:
