the first anime i watched was probably sailor moon, digimon or pokemon, i believe ?? i don't think i knew it was an anime at the time, though

hmm, that's true. not many people talk about it nowadays. my childhood shows were not beyblade, digimon, sonic, bakugan, or yugioh but i was a big fan of pokemon in my youth so maybe that counts. i can only assume my first anime was inuyasha/naruto/bleach, i don't really remember that far back.
*edit: forgot to mention, don't know if this counts but i did watch the original yugioh (1988) and not the newer adaptions to clarify

@Konata., ahh Bakugan. Those were the good days when I didn't know what anime itself was. Literally, anime shows were what my 5 year old self would refer as "cartoons". I remember watching Pokemon and Powerpuff Girls Z nonstop too. shut up Powerpuff Girls Z was an anime

The first anime I watched knowing it was anime was Gokukoku no Brynhildr (It's by the same person who made Elfen Lied). It was in 5th grade, so I started out rough XD. Never did forget Bakugan and PGZ though. Pokemon was too repetitive for my taste back then -.-

I grew up watching with the Kanto and Hoen region. I skipped diamond and pearl because I didn't like dawn haha, and then watched Black and White. Then I didn't watch the ones after that, but maybe a couple of episodes XY, which I didn't like oops. I want to like the new versions, but it just seems so different from the first ones.

on the contrary, i grew up with the sinnoh region (gen 4) and i liked dawn a lot. especially her love for dressing up pokemon, cooking poffins and sending them off to extravagant contests. that travelled over to the games, where i spent a lot of time making certain pokemon enter contests, watched them dance, decorated them etc. i vaguely remember disliking palkia and favoring dialga in my youth, so i abstained from playing pokemon pearl at times. may was my favorite girl though. so 1. may, 2. dawn (just second by a little) and 3. misty. i unfortunately disliked the black and white season because they removed brock and added in cilan, i also did not like iris all that much. cilan just looks like a butler, he has none of that shut eye charm that brock has *laughs at how much of a idiot i am*

Yeah, I don't know why I disliked dawn at the time. Now, she's alright. I like her. I think i begun to like her because i really started to like the playing Pokemon platinum. I love gen 4 pokemon, and dawn in platinum is really cute! Unfortunately, now I don't like Serena. Haha, once I begin to like a character I dislike one again oops.

Yeah I have ! It was really intense!!

I really like SnK because of how little or no filler there is in it. They did a great job about creating this mysterious world, then unraveling the these mysterious of the titans each episode.
