I think with the floppy ears, possibly a little shorter?

Also, some ideas for mutations are possibly fins on the back (similar to vapeoreon the pokemon), rare or legendary? Maybe the rarity would match the rarity of the mermaid tail?
And possibly a legendary mutation, dragon wings?
Or maybe dragon horns?

along with what snakescales said, maybe make the floppy ears a tad shorter?

thank you all so much for your input :D i've noted everyone's opinions and started working on final linework c: i wont be able to show any final products because i want them to be a surprise, but if i have anymore wips in the future i'll be sure to show them off c;

The mutations look great! Butterfly wings and feathered/bird tail definitely my favorites
Some suggestions are maybe smooth fur (without that tuft on the chest), maybe even two pairs of wings or two tails!

okay so i've changed mermaid tail and added another mutation into the mix (don't know what to call it yet, suggestions?)

i also took FluffyBirdie's suggestion for sleek fur

i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it yet, since it's an edit on the base lines it'll be difficult to work with so i'm still figuring that out. i don't really want it to be a common/uncommon mutation since asteria walkers are supposed to have their fluff, but i wouldn't be opposed to it becoming a rare mutation.

i was also thinking about maybe having extra limbs as a mutation? like another set of forelegs or something...

i love it! <3 mermaid tail looks much more natural if that makes since? maybe the new tail can be called a jaguar/leopard tail?
i would say the short fur could be rare? i really like the short fur :'0
