not at all. I was never up to date with S1 and fell behind at episode 2 of S2.
I've read the manga, so it wasn't really that interesting to me. The animation is gorgeous though. Gotta hand it to the animators for dealing with extreme detail, smooth transitions, and the colossal sorry not sorry fanbase.
The best part for me was probably S2's theme song. I saw a comment on youtube saying how "Guren No Yumiya" was based on the determination of one soldier and "Shinzou O Sasageyo" was how humanity was united against the titans.

i'm here because of the latest update to the kuroshitsuji manga.
and jesus christ what an update.

major character death spoilers for especially chapters 126, 127,
and the entirety of the music hall arc. (please highlight to read.)

i'm going to start off by saying agni's death was a shock. like jumping into the pool after being in the hot tub for half an hour. this manga's been going for an officially an entire decade since october 2016, and the last time there was a major,
main-cast character death was back when madam red kicked the bucket in the first/second arc of the story. agni and soma aren't really main characters, but they're good characters--they brought something sweet and relieving to all of the chaos and angst ciel finds himself waist deep in. they're the foils to our dark and brooding main characters. like agni said during the last few pages he was alive, soma was like the sun, warm, vibrant, and full of energy, while ciel is like the moon, chilled, elegant, and lonely. they're two very different characters who somehow share a lot of elements in the story, and who want very different things. they complement one another nicely. with agni's death, we have no clue what soma will be like. after all, a huge part of his character relied on his dynamic with his khansama. without him, the story will likely face a drastic change in mood and flow.

because of all of this, agni and soma are really some of my favorite characters, and there was a lot of grief that accompanied reading agni's death. despite that, i think the way he died was the literal essence of his entire character as a whole. he died doing what he had committed to using his entire life to accomplish--as sad as it is, i can't think of a better and more fulfilling way for him to go.

that said, there are now a ton of questions, and so many things to mull over. the first of these is this:
who attacked soma?

when i saw the first panels of the event, i was sure the attacker was ciel. the gloves matched what ciel typically wears, and the gun used looks like the revolver that ciel was given during the madam red incident to defend himself. we know that soma and agni know the attacker, and are particularly fond of them. we also know that the attacker is shorter than soma, enough so for him to have to bend down to look them in the eyes. all of these things do point to the attacker being our beloved phantomive, except that we know from chapter 127 that ciel was with sebastian the entire time, and was visibly shocked by the brutality of the murder. this made me think that perhaps the killer might be elizabeth or sullivan, but sullivan can't walk on her own and is as tall as sebastian with her spider legs, and after lizzy escaped soma would have been more visibly worried and have a ton of questions. so, i have a different theory:

what if the killer is ciel?

no, not ciel, ciel, but rather, someone who looks like ciel, namely a magician or shapeshifter or something of the sort, like bravat?
i mean, bravat does have an agenda against ciel after the funtom music hall fiasco, and we have no idea as to the extent of his abilities or character. i also find it odd that agni died of blood loss, when the entire arc is about illegal blood transfusions. i doubt there's any coincidence there.

what about you guys? what did you think of the chapter? who do you think is the attacker?

Hey! Anyone have manga recommendations? Preferably something with a short amount of chapters/volumes that is finished,,, too lazy to keep up with a story at the moment. I love slice of life, anything w/ girls idols, yuri, action... pretty much anything!!

Also just finished watching BanG Dream! It was kind of cute, predictable but still fun to watch. I lovee the music in it though.
There'll probably be a second season, but who knows. Now to keep up with the other shows I'm watching this season, along with watching Shirobako on and off.

I'm thinking to start to read the manga. Everyone is talking that it's so good to! But that's harder to read because it's more complicated..?

I'm a few episodes behind the first season of Shingeki no Kyojin, and haven't read the manga yet. But, I'm looking forward to what there is too come. Gotta catch up on Nanatsu no Taizai manga as well, since the second season is something I'm still patiently awaiting and the writer was in the hospital [nothing serious though].

Also I'm hooked on Fullmetal Alchemist or Hagane no Renkinjutsushi. I already finished the 2004 interpretation series and it's so different from Brotherhood than I would've expected. Because Brotherhood follows the original manga plotline it's left me questioning why I didn't watch it first. I'm on about episode 48, but if you haven't watched this mainstream anime than I suggest you do.
