Aaaand here are my new babs!
I bought three new plants today, because I literally just can't control myself. :U


(On the left is a kalanchoe fedtschenkoi variegata, on the right, from top to bottom, is the same fedtschenkoi zoomed out, a graptosedum 'california sunset', and what I believe is a tillandsia rubra, but I'm not sure. Not great with identifying non-succulents haha xD)

The fedtschenkoi has literally been one of my dream plants since I really got into succulents, and I finally own one! I'm so excited and can't wait to start propagating. <3

Unrelated, but I now own 14 cranberry sempervivums (not all are pictured)... If you count offsets, then I probably have over 60. xD
No clue what to do with them, but... :U

Yes, I named my herbs Chernobyl. It's Basil and Cilantro growing together, for some reasons the chives never germinated.

aw! i love your lil planter haha, i hope the plants are all
doing well, they look super cute! :3c honestly when it comes
to seeds i feel like you have to be much more patient than
you'd expect... i waited almost a month, if not longer for
my pomegranate seeds and chili seeds to germinate, but
its so worth it once it finally happens!!

My garden yielded its first crop today! We've been getting tons of rain and everything has shot up like crazy. I'm so excited for more stuff to be ready.

I'm trying to propagate some succulent leaves, and one is trying to grow leaves before growing roots. Should I be concerned?

if it's not too big, i wouldn't be too concerned, but if the
leaves continue getting bigger and no roots develop, it
could be a bit of an issue but i'm sure it'll be fine as it
gets all of its water and nutrients for the moment from
the leaf that it's attached to! :3

Many of mine will sprout a little leaf bump before the roots emerge -- sometimes the budding leaves will cover the roots so they're just not that visible. I second @lesbian though; if the leaves get too big it might be a problem.
I've never heard of leaves only and no roots though; I've only heard stories of roots forming with no leaves. You should be fine. :D

I recently discovered an App that lets you trade items with others in your local area, and they have a huge Succulent community, so I've been trading them and expanding my collection! ;w;
I did a few offset cuttings this morning, I have like, 30 babies now oof.

My second batch of leaves have all started to root at once! They're growing so much faster than my first ever batch, which I'm glad about -- I think I may have given the first batch too much sunlight and burned them.
I think I'm going to try dry propagation next (just literally leaving them somewhere with indirect sunlight instead of putting them on soil/with water/etc) -- it seems like the literal easiest way to propagate and I'm going to be out a lot over the summer.
No photos right now, I might edit my post later if I do take some! :D

In other news since I last posted I now own 35 succulents, a zanzibar gem, and 24 different species of plants. <3 I'm getting two new species next wednesday, and possibly three or four others in the near future.

thank you for the link to that app! i checked in my area and it seems like theres
nothing out there for me but hopefully it helps someone else! it looks like a good
resource for plant swaps honestly :3

im so glad your props have done well dibs! i'm hoping to begin some propagation
soon - i've already done a tiny bit with a monstera cutting and some clematis
cuttings!

Thats so many plants, I doubt I have anything near that many, but I thought I had
a lot before I read the number you have. xD Also, I really love ZZs, they're cute!

Today I got two new babies... it was unexpected, which probably is the best
way to get plants if I'm honest - it's all great planning to go buy new succus
but there's a real excitement to finding them in a place you didn't even know
you were going to haha. Anyway, here they are:

i believe the tiny pink one is an E. Perle von Nurnburg and the cacti is a
Cereus Peruvianus monstrose, but if you know otherwise, please let me know!
