I started tg a couple months ago - and thought I'd start with reading the manga first. I actually ended up reading the first 50 or so chapters of tg:re, since I thought tg:re was the same as tg. I was so confused about the ghouls and ccg stuff LOL. But because I read part of re first I think Im attached to the characters in tg:re than in tg - oopsie - thats weird right? Liking the sequel more than the original haha

Actually, I may prefer :re to the original, at least some aspects. Some of my favourite characters only appear in :re, or only became favourites when I saw them in :re.
The first 50 chapters though? You kinda spoiled yourself there.
I almost made the same mistake actually. But the image said sequel so I was like “oh wait this is the wrong one.” The site had it listed as Toukyou Kushu instead, it turned out.

LOOL I was so confused with the whole Haise = Kaneki thing because at that time, who was Kaneki ?? There was also a ton of characters that I had no idea where they came from

Right now I'm watching the anime and reading the original to compare the differences (espically the whole root A season) eee can't wait to watch re though, my favorite characters are also in it

Just dropping in to ask a question that'll determine whether or not I actually continue on to re:
I'm caught up on most events + character dev stuff through the wiki and spoilers, but I've avoided the anime/manga itself because I relate super hardcore to Tooru and don't wanna accidentally my dysphoria if it turns out he's written in a super transphobic manner or something. Basically uh... Can anyone confirm if he's actually handled like that or if my fears are unfounded?
