I always buy my cosplays. All the fun is in wearing it for me, and I'm not talented enough to make them myself as is. In the time and effort it would take me to learn to sew/build cosplays myself, I could just work more and save up more $$ to buy something that I can rely on to be quality work. I've cobbled together some accessories and repairs but they're pretty half-assed and nowhere near good enough to make an entire cosplay out of.

i think i might actually pull this off!
i started on my sheik (ssbb version) cosplay a couple of weeks ago and i think i might actually finish in time.
i still have a ways to go, and the con is this weekend, but i think it might actually happen!
if i do manage, i'm hoping to enter the contest. i am certain i won't win anything, but i think it
would be fun. have any of you ever entered one? what was it like?

Mine was a construction based contest so we were judged mostly on how it was put together and I found it super stressful that combined with the bad weather on the day lead to me being really sick for two weeks post con. It hasn't stopped me from entering the next comp - but I have a group with me this time. so hopefully my stress won't be quite so bad.
