I'm not really one to "show off" contest entries, but this is the piece I made to help get out of that art block. Which is making me too attached >< especially since it's been a while.

AMG...I saw it because I'm stalking that guy sooooo dang hard but woooooooooooow <3 I need your skills, do you take classes in school or something???

No hehe, the only classes I've ever taken was elementary, 1 art basic in 8th grade, and art appreciation senior year, which was all traditional art. Everything I've learned through digital is from watching streams, going through tutorials, youtubes, etc xD which started when I joined CS!

I'm glad you like it sailor ^^ I'll have the other piece done tomorrow, as I need to finish HW today and other stuffz.

I've never taken art classes, and it was fairly discouraged in my household when I was growing up so I got you that CS (WME's) moved me to start too!! <3 I love it that you've gotten so good being self taught, it's not easy!! <3

Lol well when I get a chance to work on it again I will stream it you can see ^_^. I am using maya to make the equid, then I will use mudbox to do the texture and colouring when the frame is done.

In my senior year of high school I took all art classes since I basically had all my credits lol.
I took a class on digital art, of course I was already handy with the programs since I've had photoshop forever but we did stuff like designing logos, posters, and one project we even made a children's book which I placed 2nd in the art show. I took all the standard art classes in my freshman and sophomore years like drawing, and painting. I also took Stained Glass, Printmaking, and of course Clay stuff too made bowls and such
If I had more time I would've taken Jewelry as well xD I have pictures of all that stuff on my DA. (Auroraskyy@devart)
I'm sure I could get into an art school pretty easily lol.

So normally I wouldn't post entry art here, buuut I need to tell you guys about my fail mmkay? xD

So I entered for Ghost's chestnut mare, yep, actually trying an art comp again. And, I was actually really proud of my art for once, had tried shading for the first time and all. But also tried a new art program because I thought it'd be good to try something other then oekaki. Yeeeah my mistake was using said program without doing a little test run of it first, and instead diving right into my entry. xD Turns out, the programs default canvas is only like 250 x 160 or something like that, and I didn't realize this until after I had COMPLETELY finished my art and went to upload it. x.x So in the end, my art was literally avatar sized. So now I have this tiny little headshot to try and win that mare with. Yep. I screwed up big time. xD Pretty proud of this little headshot though, even if it should've been bigger.
