Which actually brings me to an interesting questions: Would you consider you favourite video game "the best game ever"?
For me, I LOVE Solatorobo. I would most likely fangirl over some of the male characters if they were human. But I would never call it the "best game ever", since it's one of those things that not everyone will like. Aside from the fact that a lot of people are turned off by the anthropomorphic animals (we never think of this when we play Animal Crossing...), the gameplay isn't particularly spectacular. The highest point of the game IMO is the story, and most "hardcore" gamers probably wouldn't care about that. Also, it's a handheld game, and the sad truth is that the vast majority of handheld games are overlooked.

I'm so happy for you! I don't believe that I would call 'MOTHER 3' the "best game ever" because to deserve a title like that I think a game would have to be innovative, have amazing controls, good graphics for its time and, most important, an engaging storyline; taking all of this into account I believe that 'Ocarina of Time' would be the "best game ever" because while it's not even my favourite from the franchise the impact it had my, and I'm sure many others, childhood was enormous and it was absolutely stunning and revolutionary for its time and still is today. I believe that everyone (excluding "bro gamers") would enjoy it too regardless of what gaming generation they grew up with or if they've played any LoZ games before. There are close seconds to 'Ocarina of Time' such as 'Megaman 2', 'GoldenEye' and 'Banjo and Kazooie' (and 'MOTHER 3' but that's bias on my part.) but OoT still take the cake.

I think you should! It's a series that I believe all gamers should experience at some point in their life. I, personally, recommend starting with 'Majoras Mask' but since they're all so good you can really just start with whatever game you like.

Definitely try the LoZ series! By far, it's my favorite series, along with my favorite game. I'd recommend starting with either Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Wind Waker. Reasons be, Skyward Sword is the beginning of the Zelda timeline, with no game's story behind it, along with an adorable and serious story. Ocarina of Time was a first for many, with a jaw-dropping story with shocking moments and also a great game to play stand alone with no spoilers, but if you play OoT, you should also play Majora's Mask. Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game with a great story, great graphics, and great characters and should be understood without previous knowledge of the series. Wind Waker is hands down my favorite game, and the game teaches you anything you need to know about the games before it takes place, along with amazing characters, unique but eyecatching graphics and a wonderful story.
