i watched it last week, actually! I liked it. I thought it was really sweet, too.
whenever i watch anime movies (especially good ones) i always end up wishing
there's more! i recommend it too, especially to those who enjoy shounen-ai a lot.
the art style is refreshing, too? its not the same old, and sometimes thats nice.

definitely check out spirited away (which won a lot of international awards) and howls moving castle, from the same studio that did totoro and ponyo. another movie to check out is garden of words, which is pretty short but gorgeous.
if you liked the darker stuff like eva try the movie perfect blue, or the series paranoia agent, bokurano, or ghost in the shell. c:

I suggest as far as studio ghibli movies go, the cat returns, the wind rises, from up on poppy hill, kiki's delivery service, princess mononoke, nausicaa of the valley of the wind, whisper of the heart, and when marnie was there.. I really liked porco rosso too... non ghibli movies, hotarubi no mori e, wolf children,(LOVED that movie.), and children who chase lost voices.

I'll put these on the list as well, this should keep me occupied for a while! Thanks a bunch ^u^

I have just begun watching Hellsing and it's pretty cool.

Also the film wolf children was very good! Wasn't what I thought it was going to be and id recommend it.

if you enjoy hellsing, then you definitely have to watch hellsing ultimate, it's a lot gorier, but by far the best hellsing in my opinion.

Definitely recommend it if you like Hellsing & Hellsing Ultimate.

Just started getting into Anime by watching Eva (Neon Genesis) with my boyfriend. Needless to say I'm hooked! We just finished up the original TV series so now I've got the movies left. Also finally got around to watching My Neighbor Totoro which I also LOVED! What are some other good series or movies I should start on? I'm thinking Sailor Moon for sure, and Ponyo.

why does no one talk about this

it is literally the most beautiful movie i have ever seen

when i was in japan i kept seeing merch of it in arcades and on billboards and i was like a) hey the art is really stunning and b) hey its 2 beautiful gay dudes

so i was instantly interested but i honestly forgot about it when i got home from japan until just now when I was working on a scrapbook of my last trip and saw the photo I took to remind myself -



so i watched it and like

guys im serious do yourself a favor and watch this movie like yeah its about gay guys whatever but its so much more than that it's just a great fricken movie it is SO touching and SO emotional and the story is simple but real and beautiful and moving and hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I cannot reccomend this movie enough

it does have some adult themes though (no porn or anything but yknow) so just pay attention to the age rating

i love it so much, i started crying throughout the movie only like twenty minutes in and just omg when he ran out of the choir i was ABOUT TO SLAM THE TABLE I WAS LIKE "boy no boy what is going on" and sobbing ensued
it's so sweet :'(
also dang i want the buttons under it as well i want all that merch right here right now *digs into my pockets to find my wallet with nonexistent dollar bills*

I absolutely adore drifters.. every time I watch it though they all make me thing of someone from hellsing though, bad, lol. nobunaga makes me think of walter every time I see him, and suketaka makes me think of rip van winkle. I adore the show, and definitely recommend it too, as long as gore doesn't bother you, lol.

the first time me and some friends decided to watch drifters, i seriously felt like the whole series gave off a hellsing vibe and it turned out that it's made by kouta hirano who also made hellsing
i was semi-mind blown but very proud, as they're both great in their genres

SAME. I saw the picture on MAL, and I'm like, oh my god, it's hellsing ??? the main character looks like young alucard ?? I've read some people feel like the humor in it is forced, but it makes me think of hellsing, and I guess to appreciate it, you need to appreciate hellsing humor, loool.

when I was looking over the character list, the entire time i'm naming off who these characters look like, olmine makes me think of a cross between seras and integra.

did I mention it has one of the greatest opening songs ever ? lol
