That's true, Princess Luna. And I so wanted to get 'Hunchback' and 'Hercules' this year. Hmm... I might ask for DVDs anyway - I mean they still work on a Blu-Ray player, and computer... I'm still on the fence about it.

I also want to get some non-Disney animated films this year. I'd like to expand my collection/viewing of animation. I've seen some really interesting animated films from other countries.

If you can find them for a good price, I think it would be worth getting those on DVD; I have no idea when we're ever going to see them on Blu-Ray.
I kind of wish Disney would just finish releasing the 90's films, they're probably the easiest to convert into HD anyway? Since they're not very old.

Yeah, that makes sense. There's a few animated movies by other companies that I plan to get in the near future; just trying to catch up on Disney first.

Yay,I don't know why but I love cars!<3 cars 1,and cars 2! The only thing I don't like about cars 2 is that there's killing in it,cars 1 has nothing to do with that,but I like it anyway :3

Yeah, I love them too. I actually already knew most of the Italian in my new textbook because of Guido .
I actually ran out to the store early, early on the first to get Cars 2 the instant it came out. Funny thing is... I got the 5-disk Blue Ray spiecial edition...
We don't have a Blue Ray player yet . Good thing it came with a DVD too.

Hmm... We just watched "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning" last night. Well, it was... cute, I guess. Not really what I expected. "I Remember" Was great, but the other songs just didn't seem to fit. And the villian? Um... Interesting? (However, her sidekick/therapist/assistant? The green... manatee? OhMyGoshhe'ssocuteIwanttosnugglehim!)

Also, now I know why Triton was so anti-surface. .
Sheesh, Disney? Why'd ya have to ruin such a beautiful moment? I know you're going for the classic "Mother dies" theme, but you didn't have to do it like that did you? no? hmmph...

I just noticed something... Rapunzel is the only Disney Princess I've seen that actually has a mother by the end of the film...

You're right, Toothless. Lots of motherless Disney Princesses My mom always loves to point that out to me. Oh! Princess Tiana has a mother, and Mulan, who technically isn't a princess but she's in the 'Disney Princess line'.

But yeah, there's a definite lack of mothers in Disney. My mom thinks it's because Walt didn't like his mother, but it seems like it's really a world wide theme. It gives the audience more sympathy for the character, I think.

And also, hooray for 'Cars'!

I allways thought that it was because Walt lost his mother at a young age... but it seems odd that the theme still persists... *Shrug*

Hmm... I just noticed that in Bolt, the "Real" Penny has a Mom, but no Dad that you see, while the "TV" Penny has a Dad, but no Mom...
