to be honest, after merlin, no bbc series is going to be as amazing. i mean, the atlantis series is good, but can't compete with merlin. the only series i think is good by the bbc currently is the musketeers, which features santiago cabrera (lancelot) in it as aramis. he is pretty amazing as aramis, to be perfectly honest!

i think merlin's last series could have been better done. i mean, it was mostly morgana behind it all. but i guess they can't redo the same scenarios as previous episodes.

although people want merlin to come back, i believe that where the bbc left it was a pretty good place. it would be tough to bring it back now, to the same standard that it was.

that's my view on it. i'm not slamming it, i just think it was a good place to leave it and start a new series. i mean, it followed the story plot. perhaps they could make, like, a surprise episode or something at christmas, because in the original story, arthur will rise again when he is needed the most. i don't know, just a thought.

and also, sorry if this is drifting a bit, but why on earth cast peter capaldi as the new doctor when colin morgan was in the running for it? *mentally tearing hair out in frustration*.

First of all, obviously... this is a spell-writing contest. Hence the title. XD
Anyways, you will write a spell, this spell will be an entry for this contest.
There will be links provided to help you.

Firstly, the spells in the actual show are just Old-English words. So I will provide an online old english dictionary to help. You must use Old-English and then give me the definition, the definitions will be on the website, provided. I will choose the spell, randomly. Possibly using a number generator, once it ends. So it is kind of a raffle.
It is best that you can give me your entries as quick as possible. It shouldn't take too long to make up a spell unless you think about it a lot, I don't mind.
There is no deadline at the moment, it depends if people join.

In all honestly because colin morgan played brave,silly funny merlin i honestly dont think i could ever see him as the doctor even if he had been chosen over peter capaldi i would always see him as the funny childish sorcerer,not the dark,serious doctor, again thats just my own opinion on that matter

; i do agree with you there. it is exactly the same for me when my uncle speaks of bradley james. he talks about him playing football or whatever he was doing, and i just see him running around in his armour in my head. besides, i see peter capaldi in the musketeers, so i see him as cardinal richileu.
