I got modded a few weeks ago in an anime chat room attached to a site and we were working on getting the servers changed around because someone attacked them. The site needs a major revamp as the site looks appalling and unsafe.

Anyone know what kind of site layout/colour scheme would look more attractive, safe [no viruses/malware] and get the site more trafficking to watch anime? -- what attracts you to a site to use to watch anime and what steers you away?

Light/ faded colors. But the thing that mostly attracts me if I know it is a legal site ( but if the anime isnt avalible legally then yeah faded colors man) Avoid neon colors,

I'm trying to get the admins to let me do the colour scheme. One of them's agreed, I just need the owner's approval. :>

Neon colours is a no-go anyway. Right now the website's just black with an anime wallpaper over-shadowed. Kinda crappy looking.

Pastel colours maybe? I was thinking along the lines of white with pink accents like cherry blossom tree petals or of the like.

Maybe but add some gray with the pink? those two colors work

it's a manga known as d. gray man, and it just came off hiatus
after being on it for two years or so due to katsura hoshino being in bad health
