there are no 'bad' fantrolls, it's just what your point of view is; hey if you want a rainbow blood with bright neon clothes and insane horns, go for it friend. neon blood with a dark past? amazing, have fun with that character. canon to the extreme? awesome, sounds great!

also let's try to avoid negativity on this thread about characters okay? don't want anyone to feel scared of posting any fantrolls u ou

Edit: sorry this is a little late- this was for the topic on 'bad' fantrolls. You guys just post too fast for me, ahah

Personally, I feel that if you're making a serious fantroll, you should at least try to make it as close to canon troll culture as you can. I feel that the fantroll guides are helpful, for the most part, but I really don't like how they shoot down certain things. For example, a mutant that hasn't been culled, or psychic powers in higher castes. Sure, it's extremely unlikely, but look at Karkat! Look at Vriska! They always justify this as saying, "oh well, they're exceptions." But is it possible that they're not the only exceptions? What's so bad if you have a teal blood with psychic powers? What's so bad if you have a mutant that didn't get culled?

I mean- as long as all your characters aren't exceptions.
