1. Balance. Do not have walls of text with no art or walls of art with no text. There is always a balance in between the two, and make sure not to swing to far either way. No one really wants to read tons of text, and although tons of art isn't as bothersome, looking at a ton of art could easily become very mundane. Don't overdo your form!! Short and simple beats highly elaborate every time! (at least in my book uvu)

2. Originality. Make sure that you aren't making a "mary sue" of a character. The personality you develop can almost certainly win or lose the competition for you. Remember, no one is perfect, but no one is totally bad either!! Everyone has their soft spots, and everyone has their flaws! No one wants a perfect little angel, as there is no more developing you can do with the character. And no one wants a hopeless murderer who doesn't put any effort into anything but murder. No one wants to hear about a character who kills for fun. And if your character has a disability, don't let that disability define the character. Everyone has something to deal with, but when was the last time you met someone who made their depression or ADHD become them and actually really wanted to spend time with them? Let the character be who they are, don't define them by mental or physical restrictions!!

3. Dedication. Don't give up on your form because of someone else's! Just because they have more art or writing doesn't mean they are better. Remember, balance!! Just put all you have into what you have!! <3

Ahh. I swear I read every single post but I never reply on the fanclub. Oh well. I'm on mobile so I can't do bulk replies, but I will do thorough replies for the last few posts

@Cryo- that art is pretty rad! I love the way they are posed and just gah! Congrats on getting that. I'll have to commission that artist sometime. And good luck finding Ringo a friend! As soon as I get my first plum (again) I'll be sure to RP with the fella. He has a pretty cool personality and a RP with him could have a very nice plot.
@Champ- Hello there!! Welcome to the fanclub! It's always great to have new members! I've actually seen you on another fanclub so I've already kinda gotten. To know you even if we aren't the closest. I very much hope you enjoy your time here! I'd give you some tips but Lady Sif up there gave the best explanation anyon could ever wish for. Great advice to follow. If you ever need help with anything don't be afraid to PM me about it!

@danny - wow. Long reply there! You've got some pretty good advice! I swear we should make a thread for tips in plum comps just because I see such good info out there. And totally agreed on the mental illness thing. Some characters being blind and such is fine but when I start seeing mental illness I get sad ahh
Oh and that art is pretty cute
@Chao- OMG YAS all these tips I am seeing are really nice. It's also cool to see people taking out time to help out others, it's super sweet.

He is overly sensitive and the slightest thing said bad about him can seriously hurt his feelings. He is a marine biologist and he really enjoys spending time on the beach. He really enjoys learning and reading books. He spends a lot of his time in his research lab, constantly trying to learn and discover new things but sometimes it takes up the time in his life.

I don't have much written out yet, but in my form Aquilo is about 9, but I will be writing further on in his life as well. Aquilo is going to grow up to be a very fidgety detective, who has a soft spot for kids.

Anyway I didn't plan on entering for this bab... but I've had an idea and now... well now I've done it and my brain won't calm down and we'll I guess now I have something to devote extra time to...? I've written out a bit, but in short, he's named Lacey Wayne (in memory of my late father. But please, oh please to the Lord of goats don't consider it a sob story or guilt trip. Its because he loved the ocean, and this plume reminds me of a beach/ocean ;-;) and he's a traveling counselor, going all over the world to help plumes who are down, or have any emotional issues. Cricket is his trust sidekick, and was his first patient (due to her being bullied in the past, it's part of her story, and what ties the two together). (Those are his future occupation and such, i have it written in more detail and such for my form) Regardless, I'm pretty much lookin for any help I can get C:
