Guys, we are getting more chatty than anything and its skipping people who are asking for help.
If you are good enough to give commentary or advice about a friends signature chances are you are able to give commentary about all signatures who ask for comments.
@Bev
Ice theme are often traditional, as you said ice font, colour theme, snow etc. But you can work with snowflakes, hail, falling snow, if you want to stay loyal to the source of your signature.
If not, you can migrate to other areas like places (Towns in snow for instance) or Animals in snow. You can go as far as to find anime where snow or ice is a factor and incorporate that into your signature in a way. This is of course depending on what you have as the GIF.
You can search for some fonts on DaFont or 1001fonts.com and you can create a colour palette on a site called Adobe Kuler. Dafont has a category dedicated to fire and ice based fonts, but I strongly recommend using handwriting based fonts since the aesthetic looks that much better in the way of presentation.

Thanks Zey. I think I'm going to retire the old format I'm using right now but.. I'm not good with formats as is. Plus I'm not good with making cool gifs like gif king over here, and I want to give this new signature my all. I'll see what I can do. I think there will be less coding and more editing at this point though.

Good luck! Have fun on your signature adventure. :p
Alright, so I finally decided I'm going to open a coding shop! Problem is, I'm not sure on a theme. I want it to be fairly professional, as well as something I'll be happy with and probably not grow out of. I've got a couple of ideas, and I'd like you guys to help me choose!
Keys, locks, etc.
London (The big Ferris Wheel, Big Ben, etc.)
City stuff
Something elemental (fire, earth, water, air)
Animals
Other (Suggestions?)

The first thing you want to do if you are planning to do a shop is make a choice.
Do you want to be cliche and have a nicely coded signature shop like a lot of other people have currently?
Or
Do you want to be unique, original, creative and create your own signature shop with your own touch so when people click on your shop, they can see what you can do without looking at the examples.
I did the second one myself, and I was successful because of it.
Asking us to choose an idea is probably the worst decision one can make in regards to staying dedicated to what you want to do. Chances are you will agree to the idea and be sick of it in a months time.
Choose an Idea that is specific to you and explains who you are without it being cliche. Like a storybook telling a story which has been made over and over but from anew perspective. Signature shops are a hard business to get into, stay dedicated and on top of. I wish you goodluck and this is the advice I do have to offer you.

Thank you for the input! I'll definitely take that into consideration.

that actually brings up a good point! i looked at everyone's siggy shops, wondering how to code mine. finally, after seeing a bajillion and one shops, i just shrugged and decided to code mine to the best of my ability, and now my shop is blooming. it's doing better than my other shop. i'm sort of surprised.
i'll have to say, i agree with zey 100%. your shop will look so much better when you pick your own theme <3 i choose mine after great cities, cause i want to live in new york/explore. now i can't take my eyes off it whenever i see it xd. your shop will look great, no matter what! c;

to add onto this conversation with shops,
i agree that you should be unique about it. mine isn't super amazingly coded, but it can still capture someone's eye. obviously your theme needs to have some sort of quality that can bring someone into it without feeling bored or too insane. if you wouldn't look at your own shop, it's probably not a good theme for you. - i also found it very nice to have it all sort of laid out, so if you do need to ever remake it, it's mostly hassle free.
another side note about opening a shop: make sure you are firm about rules, it shows you are professional. don't be rude, but don't let people get away with things you aren't okay with either.
-but hey look who's talking- me - the girl who's had her shop closed for a month
/actually i just opened it up again so/-

i need to choose a quote for my signature
1. "if you have time to think about a beautiful ending, then live beautifully until the end."
2. "the dead don't talk, and they don't eat dango. so i made a one-sided promise. i'll protect this old lady in your stead."
3. "goodbyes are only one side of the coin. you can't say goodbye until you've said hello."
4. "if i were god, i would add chocolate popsicles to the school cafeteria's menu."
5. "then and now, what i protect still hasn't changed."
6. "the other side of the other side of the other side would be the other side."
personally i like #2 bc its from the scene and i used images from the same scene but i like the others too so i wanted to know others opinions
probably quitting
my sweetest love, my holiest angel.
don't quit after me.
it was just a decision that came up in my mind,
while you were ignoring me,
while i was alone in work.
and i think i might go along with it.

I really like three, five, and six. However, I can see how your choice is so difficult! They're all really good options.
