where do you usually buy your plants and supplies?
I usually get mine from grocery stores, or stores like menards, lowes, and Home Depot.
They're usually pretty cheap and when they get new shipments in they have some really cool stuff for $2-$5.
what is your favourite plant in your garden/that you own and why?
Oooooo this is hard! I've fallen in love with my Brasil and a huge golden pothos I have, which I managed to only get for $7!! Walmart was killing it and I asked how much it was as it didn't have a tag and looked pitiful. It's thriving now and takes up a whole corner. I also have a small round cactus that I've had for three years and I adore it.
do you prefer indoor or outdoor plants?
Probably indoor plants! Up in Michigan it's kinda hit or miss with gardens some years and I'd hate to not see them for months during winter. This is the first year in going to set up an outdoor garden so that may change though!
do you talk to your plants/play them music?
Oh yeah I talk to them all the time! It's mainly things like "what are you doing" "why do you do this" "this is why we can't have nice things" and the like 😂 I also pet their leaves sometimes because they're smooth and I read somewhere that some plants like that?? And I don't know if it was true or not but I kinda just started doing it.

where do you usually buy your plants and supplies?
I go all over the place; I've purchased one terrarium from a smaller/local succulent business, a few plants from Costco, and quite a few plants and most of my materials from Canadian Tire (sells outdoor goods, tools, appliances, etc). I get pots/containers/decorations/etc. from Dollarama/the dollar store.
what is your favourite plant in your garden/that you own and why?
My Perle von Nuremberg! When I bought him he was mostly greyish-pink, but over time under the sun, his pink has developed into a rainbow. ;w;
do you prefer indoor or outdoor plants?
Indoor; outdoor just involves too much work under the sun. xD
do you talk to your plants/play them music?
I talk to them, don't really play them music unless you count them overhearing my loud music/practicing lol
you did well today, you worked hard

hi, so I don't normally ask for advice haha but my haworthia fasciata (or maybe h. attenuata,
I'm not sure which one oops!) was green when I bought it and now - over winter turned brown
- I do think it is alive but I am concerned something I have done has caused it to be like this
and I was hoping there might be something I could do to help it; here's my zebra kid✿

aaaaaa poor kiddo!! :'( has he been getting enough sun? or maybe as he
getting too much or very little water? if he hasn't been getting enough
sun, then you should provide it some more sunlight and less water. if
not or if it's getting less water then provide it more water. if the routine
is normal, then you should check its roots. maybe the watering routine
isn't correct, or it doesn't have enough sunlight. since it turned brown
over winter. if this doesn't help and you have doing its routines right,
then i recommend going to the place where you bought the haworthia
and ask them questions about this problem you are having. color changing
is succulents is normal as well so that could be it. frankly i am not so sure.
i'm not very good at advice in general, but i hope my advice is useful!! even
though he's brown, his striped markings are so beautiful!! but i'm sure that
he is alive. i hope this helps a bit!! <3

those are all good points kishu! I did consider too little/much light and under/overwatering, I do think that it could be not enough light so I've moved it to my windowsill and if it doesn't improve over the next couple of weeks I'll move it somewhere with less light
yeah, super beautiful, probably one of my favourite plants! ♥
how do you guys keep your plants dust free? yesterday I spent some time just washing off all of the dust I could and it was so time consuming but probably long overdue

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who names my plants! Belinda is such a cute name c: My perle von nuremberg is called Sylvia, because when I bought her she was in a silver pot.

My plant doesn't get dusty o.o is that normal? My room is well-lit and it sits in the window, but then again I have recently moved it. How long does it take for it to get dusty?

- i really want to name my plants too but
i dont even know what to name them
aaaa!! i usually create names myself
by taking several letters from a
specific plant species then just recreate
the name adding a couple of letters or
i just pick a name from website
incase i don't have any idea what
pops up to my mine whenever i need
em.
anyway, i finally transfered my both
spring cactus and graptoveria tituban
i dont know how to add photos straight
from my phone to here so uh i apologize
if i cannot provide any pics hahahaha
but still they look so pretty!!! my poor
graptoveria tituban kid needs some more
buddies though.. ): they're both potted
separately. but if i get new succ's
i'll definitely get a kalanchoe tomentosa
(panda plant), sedum morganianum (burro's
tail), and some other succs like echeverias
and some small cacti. my spring cactus is
kinda wounded, and i don't know what to
do. i would like some advice as well as
some tips!!

hey y’all it’s been a while
dropping in to say I got a kierweed plant a couple of days ago,
since he’s a vine plant and all I figured it was only fitting to
name him croissant rip
other than that, one of my succulents has seven new
growths sprouting off of her and I’m proud of her but also
kinda amazed oof
they’re growing like weeds too
it seems like all my plants kinda went dormant over the winter,
I’d say because they weren’t getting their usual amount of
sunlight? but they’re all back to flourishing faster than I
can keep up now, aha
