as for the sale, the owner elected to cancel it due to lack of bidding. as we gain more activity, more sales will go up, i assume. in the meantime, breeding high-stat calvars might pave the road to success in the future!

edit: if you were wondering about my take on calvar tack, i just finished a little doodle - perhaps i'll update the description with more information on the saddle, bridle, crupper, and breastplate. i'd love to know what y'all think calvar tack would look like, be it regular equine tack or something adapted to their usage! always fun to see how other people interpret the workings of a species.
perhaps i'll hold a q&a stream sometime, where i try my best to answer questions about the species (e.g. how on earth do they drink??? i've always imagined that they might submerge their faces in water up to their eye sockets to suck in water when it's deep enough, or perhaps lapped it up with their tongues). might help develop the species more and add more substance, who knows?

Ughh was at the hospital for about three hours today. Why, you may ask? I had a bloody nose -.-

@overcaffienated - Oooh I like the tack! If you want to adapt some tack to their usage, maybe revolve it around the canines or skull? For example maybe there could be some kind of mask/net for the eyes sockets, kind of like those used for the ears of horses in real life. All I can picture right now are those scenes in movies where someone will ride a beast by wrapping a rope around their fangs (although I think that may be a bit too cruel). Once the species progresses, I'd love to see some variety in tack, even if it's just for special events or special Calvars. Perhaps for a milestone event there could be a custom tack prize or something of the likes. I would personally love to see medieval war tack but that's just cause I'm a bit overly obsessed with war and violent stuff... Don't judge me >_< Once I have my computer back I can try my hand at some tack ideas (I'm still an awful artist though so no promises).

Anyways, it's a shame to hear the sale was cancelled although I'm sure you're correct about more sales poppin' up. I'm definitely going to try to adopt a new Calvar when I get the chance to enter a competition. By the way, I support the idea of drinking from their eyes. Now that is some fan art I wanna see!

@shadow9119 - I think that's a great idea! I would certainly join it once my computer is up and running. As for the paint, I like it! It suits your Calvar well.

off-topic, but...doodled some calvars in biology today, and my friends happened to catch me scribbling. since my hand was covering the head, they assumed it was a horse until i revealed it, when they identified it as a "weird horse dog thing." then, "oh, that's a skull." then, "it looks like scooby-doo." i think that sums up the species pretty well.

i'm going to take calvar commissions for cal. i didn't see a rule
against it, so i'm offering sketches for 100 50cal a piece / per
calvar. i can only do two a page, so yeah. ignore the hair on cai
i got bored and decided to try something, her russian handler
ruffling up her fur and somehow making it stick up like that. cai
is also gonna be pregnant with her third baby soon !

i'll take more than one per person, but make sure you have the
cal for it. headshots are going to be 100 50cal too regardless. if
you want shading, then it's + 20 10cal per calvar. pm me

alright, so, little update.
things are gonna wind down a bit around here for finals, but you need not worry - when summer comes around, more events will spring up, artists will be hired, and more calvars than ever before will be created. in the meantime, i'd love for y'all to enter this weeks white cup competition, since we've yet to have one run and the economy at the CBA has yet to really awaken. as for other stuff, i don't have much - the next two weeks will really be just building for me, getting stuff together. now would be a really awesome time for y'all to let me know if i messed anything up with the event or in general, since i have time to fix it! i might have a stream this weekend if i can get klove's custom together within the week this week.
in the meantime, any coat color y'all'd like to see? i might put an adopt out for tomorrow morning, i feel like i haven't done that in forever!
