besides dgm, feel like it's never gonna get another anime adaption ;_;

hoshino actually confirmed here that dgm is starting back up,
and i can't find the link but the anime may be getting a continuation

ik, I was quite excited once I saw that and the other image, it's just been too long since the last chapter, -though im not stating that im mad or anything, hoshino was ill and she couldn't do anything about it- I just hope that sj would keep holding/serialize dgm.
And even though it's been more than 3 months since the announcement, I can still wait ^-^
heh, my post doesn't make any sense anymore.

    has anyone seen and/or read karneval? ovo I know it's not a very popular anime/manga, but there seems to be the occasional
    viewer/reader, or they've seen images of the characters (ex. gareki, yogi, nai...)

/superlate
I've watched Karneval and plan to read the manga!
I've got kind of mixed feelings on the series because technically speaking I think that there were too few episodes to cover all the plot that the directors tried to incorporate. There were so many plot holes in the anime ;_; by the ending episode, very little was resolved. I feel like the anime spent a long time building up to something critically important, but nothing that it promised was truly fulfilled, except maybe some of the relationships between the characters.
But!
I think that Karneval is, despite all of what I just mentioned, one of the most enjoyable and entertaining anime that I've ever seen. The art was really wonderful, and I didn't feel like they were rushing through the plot- so it made for a fun anime to watch; it's just that it seemed they ran out of time at the very end. But the plot, or what amount of it they were able to include, was unique and engrossing. The characters are very likeable ^^ Gareki and Yogi are bae uwu
So I'd actually rate my enjoyment of that show a 10/10, and it would have been one of the better anime I've seen if not for the fact that it had too little time to resolve the conflicts that it started. For that reason, I'm really hoping for a second season of the show. It has so much potential to become amazing if it's just given some more episodes to develop the plot.
all dem bishies huehuehue

I've seen some really nice art within the current pages of this topic *claps quietly from corner*

@Mac
I just started Donten ni Warau omg all the characters are super cute :'D
Also you could try Kyokou no Ou, Ilegenes: Kokyou no Kiseki, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.

Did anyone notice that Shanks and Gildarts are so similar that even their relationship with the main character is somewhat the same?

I've only seen 3 animes, and I haven't had time to watch more lately, but in June I will have more time, so I guess I'd like some recommendations…
I love Fruits Basket and also enjoyed Hetalia and Ouran High School Host Club (though I'm not looking for something as random as Hetalia at the moment, since I haven't watched seasons 2 and up yet).

What I like:
-Interesting characters
-Friendship
-Family (and family problems)
-Psychology and backstories
-Romance (but not required)
-Originality
-Low to no magic, including supernatural beings (not required, though: I'm also completely fine with supernatural anime filled with all kinds of magic, as long as the anime is not only about that)
-Variation in mood (happy, funny, sad, sweet, mysterious/creepy…)
-Happy/optimistic overtone (meaning that the anime won't leave me feeling sad or uncomfortable)

What I either don't like or am simply not looking for at the moment:
-Depressing anime
-Too much or too gory violence
-Anime centered around violence/fighting
-Anime that focusses on sexual stuff or where the main character is perverted
-Soap opera-style drama (everyone telling lies to each other and getting into arguments)
-Anime centered around sport and competing

      Wow, it's so awesome seeing so many fans of Karneval! I know it had been a while since I had last posted in the club [previous thread- I had been only lurking], but I don't recall there being this many Karneval fans. ^^

      Also, looking for manga suggestions again!
      I like anything with a bit of action or suspense. Adventure is good, too. (I like some slice-of-life as well, but that's not what Im currently looking for.) Pretty art also means a great deal to my eyes! D;
      No ecchi, please.

      Manga I like:
      -Are You Alice?
      -Maou: Juvenile Remix
      -Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu
      -Donten ni Warau [currently also reading Donten ni Warau Gaiden]
      -Pandora Hearts
      -Karneval

      *bold = favorites

Maybe Immortal Rain, Abide in the Wind, Divine Melody, Zombie Loan, Hatenkou Yuugi, Himegimi to Sanbiki no Kemono, Sengoku Strays or Hanatsukihime.

Sadies wrote:Hi guys, it's been a lone time since I posted in this group (on the old thread) I was distracted form anime for a long time but am back into watching it.
I just finished watching Death Parade and I am now looking for more anime's to watch.

I only tend watch English dub (unless it's highly recommended) ; "please don't hate me, I am dyslexic and can't keep up with the text and what's going on. I miss half of what is happening. x.x"

Some anime I have watched and enjoyed;
Death Note
Black Butler
The Devil Is A Part-Timer
No.6
Death Parade
Darker Than Black
Psycho-Pass
Black Blood Brothers

I seem to like anime's based around supernatural beings, I really like shinigami, demons ect (I have stared watching Bleach like months ago but not got very far, need to re-watch it to keep watching.)

I prefer to watch short series but I don't mind if they are really good.

Betrayal knows my name, Blood+ and Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro all have a character like Sebastian (well I like them a bit more XD), though I'm not sure if all have english dub. There is also Inuyasha, but like Blood+ it's a longer anime, but good. Zombie Loan is also about Shinigami and Hatenkou Yuugi is also interesting, but both only show a shot part of the manga's story.

I sometimes watch the anime before reading the manga and sometimes afterwards.
If the manga is more detailed than the anime, than I watch the anime before reading (Junjou, Zombie Loan). If the plot is similar than I read the manga before the anime, because then I'm excited to see how it will look like. Same goes for movies and books, though it mostly depends on the time the anime gets out or what I see first.
I used to be online a lot here, but I became bored of this site and I don't like some of the rules here.
Now I'm pretty busy as well. You can still try to message me though, I might be online again now and then : )

    YAS The characters are sooo cute! D; I started reading the manga after I finished the anime - let's just say I got kind of attached to that adorable trio of brothers. <3
    And thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely add all of those to my list. Ilegenes def sounds like something that might interest me, for sure.

    Thanks for the suggestions, Naala! I've read some of Zombie Loan, but several of the ones you listed seem like something I could def get into. ^^ Danke!

    Barakamon
    Gugure! Kokkuri-san
    Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
    Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
    Noragami (<--you may or may not like this one, but the characters are definitely fun and I have a few friends who have similar tastes to yours and they ended up loving Noragami)
    Karneval (<--again, one you may or may not like. It depends on you - does contain fight scenes and monsters)
