Alrighty. Love all these ideas.

Now that we've got a good idea as to how the shows work and what the prizes will be, all we need to do is decide what kind of shows we'll have, and what each type should excel in by how much.

If we're using a point-system sort of thing, where each type gets X number of points for each different show-type, then I think each type should get at least one point for each discipline, and then X number of extra points to be assigned to the disciplines that they excel in, that way each type has the same number of point overall.

So I've came up with some basic shows, maybe we can start from there, and then decide where all horses would go?

Yeah. I was considering something like that as well, but, like you said, it would be pretty hard to keep track of and people would be all about getting the best horse, and I want Tiny Horses to stay a nice, friendly little community. Perhaps sometime in the future, when shows have been going on for a while, and if everyone agrees to be nice and not crazy-competitive, something like that could be integrated, but for now, we should keep it simple.

Those are good ideas. Though, since there are only so many different types, maybe we should narrow the list down a bit for now and add more shows as more types are added to keep things nicely balanced.
I think Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Racing, and Barrel Racing are probably good to start with.
For points, since we're starting with six different show types, I think the number of points per type should be 11 - one for each show type, and then five extra for those that they're better at.
Thoughts on this? Other suggestions?

for example since standard type is the most common they should have balanced, but low, stats.
whereas something like the Akhal-Teke would have almost all their points invested in one thing, like dressage.

I definitely think we should start small with shows - one a week or so until everything has settled down. I certainly don't want you all overworking yourselves! This sounds really fun though - I can't wait!

I haven't actually decided yet. I am going to put a limit on it, but I haven't decided what it should be. Probably something fairly low, since each breeding could result in up to eight foals. Maybe 5.

the only problem I can think with that is that the standards are similar to Quarter Horses and mustangs, which tend to specialize in western? I don't know, I always think about QH's... they're my fav. <3 I suggested them as a breed, but we thought they were pretty similar to the standards, so I just think of standards as QH... but I think since standards seem to be most common(right?) they might have a mix of everything, pretty even stats all around, and maybe they can have like 1 extra in something, so they "specialize" in at least 1 thing?

Okay. If we're doing Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Racing, and Barrel Racing for the show types, then I figure...

Standards excel in Barrel Racing (but only by a little; they are fairly balanced in the different disciplines)
Thoroughbreds excel in Racing
Arabians excel in Cross Country (but are slightly more versatile than most other types)
Spanishes excel in Dressage
Akhal-Tekes excel in Show Jumping

But I can't figure out what Drafts and Fjords should excel in.
And I am debating whether or not Unusuals and Unnaturals should have some sort of advantage/disadvantage in the shows.
