Do you prefer having your characters date/mate your own characters or someone else's?

❥ For me, it all depends on the character. The majority of mine are mated or together with a character who is owned by someone else, and not myself. I think it makes the relationship more natural, and makes the story that they tell more fluid instead of saying something like ''This one's cute, that one's cute - they're going out.'' - if you get what I mean?
