I want to add onto the previous discussion. XD
For me, I really do prefer fantasy roleplays, at least when it comes to roleplaying humans. It just tends to get too boring for me if it's like real life! But for animals, I like either way. It just kind of depends on the scenario, I guess.

He felt so nice, compared to the cold outside. Being out in the middle of nowhere was freezing, which was stark contrast to the city, which felt like it was on fire. Perhaps it was something to do with the radiation, but he couldn't be sure. He passed the bowls out and sat back on his boulder. "You should come with us, Mari!" He said, using his nickname for the small Italian girl. "You'd love the city! There's so much stuff to see and do. It's a lot of exploring." He cast her a gentle smile, trying to start up some sort of conversation. America didn't like silence. It was creepy and kind of awkward. He lifted the bowl of soup to his lips, inhaling it greedily. Food was so wonderful, especially after going to long without it. He wanted to have more and finish off the can they had. He was sur he'd have no problem doing it. But he knew he needed to ration it. They only had enough food for a few days at most.

Canada heard his name, only barely registering he had been called. After a moment, he lifted his head. "Hm? Oh...yeah, sure." He said, his normally soft and quiet voice strained even further. He pushed himself to his feet, reluctantly walking over to Prussia. He wasn't entirely sure why he was so sick like this. Perhaps it was the radiation, combined with the heat, but he felt so sick and dizzy, like he was going to fall over at any moment. His fear was that he'd pass out, and that was never a safe place to be out here. "How far are we going to search?" He asked, attempting to brush dust off his already dirty and ragged military uniform...to no avail of course.
